Let's just wait for the storm to calm down and get to know what we gave up exactly before we judge this.

A 2017 top 11 protected first seems insane, though.

Excited about getting Payton though.

I guess they didn't feel there was a player at 12 that could help them right now or they feel they are good enough to wait years for a player to come over later.

We gave up a future first to move up two spots? I like Payton, but I loved Saric too. Equal parts happy and disappointed.

For this next current season. Seems this team is going to struggle to score... I still believe the Magic will get a star PG during free-agency when its all said and done.

But again, this draft for the Magic has been VERY solid.

Very happy with the draft. Sad we passed on Exum, but the fact we were able to get Payton explains it. It was much easier to get a PF early on and PG at #12 then the other way around.

Pick information keeps trickling in.

No way they gave up the Philly first and the 2015 2nd. Philly might be sending something back too.

A lot of defensive on this team. I love it.

Awesome, I love the Gordon pick was hoping for LaVine at 12 was surprised in a bad way about the Saric pick but very glad now that we traded him for Payton.

Appears Philly will get be getting back the 2017 1st Orlando got in the Howard deal, per sources.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

How we'll view this draft in the future will likely hinge on how Exum pans out.

If he turns out to become a superstar then it could be a fireable offense by Hennigan.
