Why? Because our cheap owner wanted some cash in exchange for a scrub?

Maybe the league will see how stupid E.G. is and they will block the trade. . . hers hoping right lol. If E.G. was going to draft some of those big guys he could have moved up and all it would have coast us was a little bit of cash. he is a stupid ass who just has no brain.

I blame Ted more than Ernie. No GM wants to trade away a pick. He just doing his job.

If Grunfeld actually had a semi-decent track record of making quality picks in the draft, Ted would not be so eager to trade them away.

And I also want to send a big **** you to Turd as well. Lying **** said the Wizards were going to build through the draft...well second rounders are part of the draft too, you greedy bastard.

Why not draft a Eurostash? Maybe he pans out; maybe he doesn't. It wouldn't cost you anything.

I...I just don't understand it. Is Ted's org running on such razor-thin margins that the only way to pay for a scout's salary is to take $1M of the Lakers' money?

That's the only reason I can think of; otherwise, why trade a basketball asset for compensation that can never help you become competitive?

Seriously, what is the harm in taking a 2nd rounder and having him play for your D-League team? Oh wait, our FO is so clueless and cheap that we are one of the dwindling teams who don't have an official D-League team.

I dont get the beef. You fellaa act like any second rounder will play. If we needed a need its a C or PF from the bench. But we will get miller back and resign gortart while we can pick up depth in FA.

Unless the trade for hill or steve nash bit like we would of made an impact. Lets calm down

Why would any quality GM come here and try to run this outfit? That's why Ted has a stooge to run his team his way.

Just look at the two players before Clarkson and the three selected after. I GUARANTEE three will be better. Smith was right there. Patterson is an undersized beast. I wanted Bairstow. I am certain Deonte Burton is going to be a star.

Chumps and never champs ... Ted and Ernie.

Heck, DeAndre Kane (albeit at 25 years old) has legit NBA talent.

That isn't the point. The probability that a 2nd rounder is actually worth a damn IS low, but the cost and risk on the franchise is low as well. Low risk, high reward. You make the pic, doesn't matter if you **** it up. But as others have stated, you at least TRY. This is cowardly incompetent BS from EG. My only hope now is Jefferson goes undrafted.

Indy just sold their pick too. Its stupid teams are allowed to do this. I'd be in favor of banning the sale of draft picks.

"We felt we didn't really have room on our roster to add another young player. Our draft pick was basically Marcin Gortat who is a quality player. Also Otto Porter is like adding another rookie for us. We sold the pick to keep our options open moving forward from a financial perspective."

Yes - put the blame where it belongs. This was an ownership decision, regardless of who was the GM.

I think Popovich would resign if the spurs ever sold their 2nd rounder for cash
