I will be more pissed about Lowry leaving than I was about Bosh. When Bosh left we missed the playoffs and didn't really have a good team around him. With Lowry we just won our division, took Brooklyn to 7 games and lost on a last second shot. We have young players growing and getting better.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Not only on a last second shot, but HIS last second shot. Can't go out like that.
He needs to come back and get vengeance with this squad.

I honestly wouldn't mind the sign & trade for Parsons and then make a move to get Bledsoe. That kid can flat out ball. His intensity on D is exactly like Lowry's and plus you can't say enough about his athleticism. He's much younger so that is also a plus. I hope to god that Masai at least contemplates the possibility of getting Bledsoe.
Exactly. Bledsoe is a young two-way player with athleticism that allows him to play above the rim. THE MAN'S NICKNAME IS BABY LEBRON!!!! Hopefully Lowry wants to go to Houston, do a sign and trade for Parson and whatever we can fleece from them, and go after Bledsoe with money and Ross as a trade chip. Rather not trade ross but I'd want to see Bledsoe in a Raptors jersey more.

I don't understand all this Bledsoe talk.
I've been pro Bledsoe when he was with LAC and I envisioned sending Demar home in a swap for him.
But now; post injury, seeking the max, and pretty much guaranteed to be matched by PHX, this is just getting silly.
If Kyle leaves, we'll be using a future first rounder(s) to get back a prospect PG. Maybe Corey Joseph, Nate Wolters, or Dennis Schroder. Perhaps we build a package around Ross & Reggie Jackson or Alec Burks.
Obviously none of my above forecasts are ideal so Lowry is indeed priority.

Are people forgetting how injury prone Bledsoe is? Is that someone you want to be paying top dollar for?

Windhorst on ESPN: Lowry is deciding between Toronto, Houston and the Lakers.
He's coming back. Miami has realized that their only hope is to sign a C that won't be paid as much as Lowry. They're going after Gasol now.
Our only competition for Lowry is Houston. They want Melo and they want Lowry... they wanted to sign and trade with us but Masai told Morey to f*ck off. They have no chance for Lowry and Melo without a sign and trade. The only thing that could suck for us is if Lowry waits it out until Melo decides to go to Chicago or stay in NY. However if Melo does that, the Rockets would have to re-sign Parsons at at least $10 mill.
I just don't see any scenario where Houston would be able to get Lowry with their pursuit of Melo and their desire to re-sign Parsons if they need to. Morey is a very smart GM, so it's possible... but I don't see it happening.

"When you see Kyle Lowry you see a star, someone that is worth 12.5m dollars a year, when I see Kyle Lowry... What I see is, is.... an imperfect understanding of where baskets come from. The guy's got a great heart, decent defensive PG, he can shoot the 3, but is he worth the 12.5m a year that will tie up your cap for years to come? No, No... Toronto Realgm thinking is medieval, they are asking all the wrong questions & if I say it to anybody I'm ostracized, I'm a leper so"
Lol! Sorry guys I had to...

We're willing to give more to an older, just as injury prone (if not more) Kyle Lowry. I don't see why getting Bledsoe would be so difficult. If we really wanted to acquire him, we could get it done. I'd feel more comfortable with him at the helm as he continues to grow with our current core than Lowry who will become the odd man out in two years.

No matter what happens, we could still end up 'winners'. Getting Lowry back would be great, but if he leaves, then Masai can go after Blesdoe, which I kinda prefer. I still love Lowry though.

Depending on the amount we're offering, having Lowry isn't a bad thing. I'd prefer Bledsoe as well and the potential of a sign and trade with Lowry could net us some picks and perhaps another rotation player.

I know that Patty Mills (UFA) is out for 6-7 months with a rotator cuff injury, but after watching him play in the playoffs - he could possibly be a cost effective option for the Raptors.

Thanks.
Hope "shortly" isn't measured in the same method as the last 26 hours.

Woj on Fox Sports Live saying Toronto's message is that if he goes to Miami or Houston, he's just a guy. In Toronto he is 'the man' and he got them to the playoffs. When pressed, he said he thinks Lowry stays in Toronto, but added that Houston has made a compelling case to him.
So many contradictory reports about whats going on. When it comes to the Raptors, don't trust anyone. When real news comes out, things have usually already been finalized.

I still have zero idea where people are getting this Bledsoe money from.

I've developed a good report with a top executive in TL's, and previously Peddie's circle. I'm so tempted to send an email or text "just to say hi" but then plug away for some KLow info.
Then I realized it just isn't worth it. I'll save it for something more important.

That sounds amazing for us... I hope he commits to us. We can give him more than any other team in the league can. Our future is very bright (like Lowry said).

A lot of people probably don't know this but because Bledsoe hasn't been in the league 6 years his max contract can't be for more than $15m/yr. Thats much more reasonable than the $19-20 mill some stars get, but also makes it that much more likely Phoenix matches.

Hypothetically, the amount of money Raptors can pay Lowry (without the fifth year) should be around the same as what we could potentially offer Bledsoe. I'd like to think that Phoenix doesn't want to give Bledsoe a max contract given as they drafted Ennis and they're going to have to give new contracts to Dragics and the Morrison twins next off-season.
Worst case scenario...Phoenix matches our offer, we then put them financially into a mess which is a great pay back for stealing Tyler Ennis from us. We then still have cap space to continue to make moves.
