OMG if true.

Yeah. Melo is gonna make almost the same as Gortat.

No. That Tweet is a misinterpretation of lazy reporting by Broussard. Like a game of telephone.

Doubtful....probably more like 17-18mil

That's only $68 mil.
Per year means nothing. Guaranteed dollars do.

$68 million has no chance.

The rest will be Nike/Jordan Brand dollars

Jesus Christ...are you capable of saying ANYTHING else? Seriously...ANYTHING?

We get it. No max player is going to leave any team ever because they can't get a super max on the open market. Now go complain about us on the Knicks board some more.

Just relax. It's clear he's just trolling now. Pretends not to understand the difference between starting salary and average salary. Pretends he doesn't know Gortat's contract is over 5 years instead of 4.

AKA just making sure we have a backup plan in place.

This all day. More empty speculation from the booyahs.

I suppose the Bulls should just ignore the the rest of the NBA is moving on without Melo, and only one team of thirty actually gets to have him?

Obviously your only intention is to rile up fans. You can discuss this laughable offer on your own board. If I see another post like this from you, then you'll be suspended.

Knick board talking sooo much trash about the Bulls fans the last 6 or so pages on the Melodrama thread, I so badly want to respond on hey even if we don't get Melo we are still a 50 win team with an actual bright future, meanwhile the knicks plans for 2015

PG: Cap Space
SG: Cap Space
SF: Melo
PF: Cap space
C: Cap space

Good luck winning a championship with that plan.

It's ok though, I won't respond over there. I won't stoop to their pathetic and depressing level they are currently at.

What's absolutely hilarious is that their only hope for getting better is convincing another teams FA to do just that (no 5th year money) and come to the Knicks.

Melo might lose money from Nike/Jordan

when you play in NY/LA you get bonus money from Nike and Jordan and while Chicago is the 3rd largest market behind both he may lose some money however his sneaker sales are 4th in the NBA behind Kobe/LeBron/Durant I think so he may do well in Chicago

The Bulls heavy pursuit for Gasol is....strange. The only thing that makes sense that he is a replacement for Gibson. Which means Melo WOULD be in the fold. Which would be crazy.

No he is ok as a host at best but by no means a source.

Thanks. I use to listen to the score few years back, but I stopped because IMO they suck so bad.

I avoid it at all costs now. Just can't take the nonsense from guys like B&B. Even Mulkey and Hanley annoy me. And most of the time they just seem ill informed.

Meh b & b are pretty informed but they would rather do shock radio, but honestly Bernstien actually does do research. It is just tiresome listening to his elitism. Boers has connections but he cares so little, and is the highest paid sports radio jock in the industry. They follow a Howard stern model just get listeners love or hate you. The score is better than espn because they have freedom. That being said the game might establish itself they all suck honestly but if listening to the radio you need ratings one way or another. Mike and Mike are pros and have soooooo little content. Holmes is way better than jhood though no doubt.

Yep. That, or tank for draft picks, which they can't exactly do with Melo.

One thing I dont get is why does the team sending out a player via sign and trade get something in return while the player going out gets nothing

I think Melo should get 7.5% raises in a sign and trade but still only get a max 4 year deal

Return to Chicago Bulls
