Wait, wait... Bosh hasn't been contacted by Suns?

Something tells me there's a LeBron/Love sweepstakes, and only two teams are in it.

PLEASE!!!!

Yea I'm kinda disappointed that we haven't talked to Bosh.

He makes sense for us with or without LeBron.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully Bosh would come running to Phoenix if we landed LeBron. As much as I love Love (haha), I think giving up Dragic for him wouldn't be the best thing to do (especially if Bosh is an option). If LeBron signed and we were able to trade for Love without having to give up Bledsoe of Goran...I'd be down

The suns are being very secretive. We have no clue what's going on or who they have talked to.

It's smart business skills but annoying for suns fans. We are salivating for something. We are like a pack of wolves waiting for our pray right now, just pacing back and forth!!

No way we're giving nearly 100m to Bosh without Lebron coming. If it's 4/96 for Bosh vs 2/25 for Pau I don't see how the choice is debateable...

Honestly, this sounds like someone that paid no attention to Lin & the Rockets at all last year. For much of the year he was arguably the Rockets most steady back court player. He's not as dominating defensively as Beverly yet not a total albatross on defense like Harden. He obviously isn't as talented as Harden & he seemed to suffer playing along Harden who has the ball in his hands almost as much as a PG. I want no part of Lin at his contract but acting like Lin is a terrible player just seems like you're trying to be contrarian for no reason.

I'm surprised that there haven't been any meaningful developments on the LeBron thing in the past 2 days. Clock's ticking on LeBron, just 3 more days.

Why would any Suns fan want the Lakers to have any success at all in free agency? The only thing I hope the Lakers get is AIDS or syphillis or something. Let those losers languish in misery until they fade away into decades of irrelevancy and torment.

Yeah, I know. I'm wondering when time is up for Pat Riley. How long did LeBron give him? Soon, LeBron should be meeting with teams in person.

In regards to Lebron...

Suns don't have a clear advantage over Cavs.

Cavs
Advantages
- can easily trade for Love
- east conference
- Lebron's legacy redemption

Suns
Advantages
- deeper bench
- two established border line all star guards
- room for an additional star

But west teams are getting stronger also...

Medical staff, eric bledsoe and free agent connection, and the love trade isn't much of an advantage since we can do the same, and don't forget our coach and system in place.

They have no basketball advantage all they have is lebrons legacy and the eastern conference advantage

I'm not that interested in Bosh either way. And this makes me think LeBron doesn't want Bosh following him.

But as far as the second superstar and giving up Gogi, we've been talking about sacrificing Len, Green, and the Morris twins all to land Melo (or Bosh if he requires that kind of $$). But if traded Gogi and the twins for Love, we could keep Green and Len. I know Gogi > Green and Len, but I really like both those guys. One's a microwave, and that can be hard to find. And Len's... well he's tall. Taller than most. Which is nice.

So, Love, Len, Green > Dragic & Bosh/Melo, IMO.

We're not talking to anyone. Neither, it seems, are our free agents. And this is really starting to look like the best explanation. If we trade Gogi and the twins for Bosh, how much cap space would we keep? That is, could we keep Frye at say, $5m?

Bledsoe/Ennis
Green/Goodwin
LeBron/Tucker/Warren
Love/Frye
Plumlee/Len

Beautiful :D

Are you f$&@ing serious?

You wouldn't root for the suns because of Jeremy Lin.

Who I believe has been shafted/screwed by Rockets by forcing him to be an off-ball PG next Harden.

Just for that, I want the suns to actually trade for him so he can play free reign as a backup PG and thrive.
Haters be damned.

I want to see the real suns fans in here, just for my own reference.

Team/franchise > individual players .... I follow teams not players.

Uhh take it easy on the drama. I just think Lin absolutely sucks. I am entitled to my opinion.

No..

Cavs can trade for Love cleanly..
Wiggins for Love...

Suns need to gut itself..
Dragic, Morris twins etc

After a Love trade, Suns will be similarly built as Cavs but in the western conference.

The only thing that can really push the suns over is who the second star FA is...

- Bosh (time critical)
- Melo (unlikely)
- Gasol (many suitors)
- Love (see above)

You think so? I thought he was a poor defender and that would make this deal appear to be an overpayment. This is probably the same deal Frye will get somewhere. I could see him in Charlotte along with Stephenson.

Yeah, he really is a bad defender. But the stretch bigs are rare, and he's also a great passer for a C. I'd be interested to see if his DFG% #s from CLE weren't a fluke. I was genuinely expecting something closer to $7-8 mil for him.

The ONLY reason i'm hoping for some sort of success for the lakers this offseason is for their 2015 First. That pick is top5 protected next season and as it stands right now their is no way the lakers are good enough for us to get that pick.

Adding a player like Melo for them does 3 things.
a.) it gives their fans hope. Lakers fans would think that adding Melo would make them contenders. And watching that false hope materialize would be fantastic. Its the same thing with the Knicks. They added Melo and Amare and what did it get them? 2 first round exits and a 2nd round exit. nobody took that team seriously and they wasted 4 years.
b.) they are better, but still terrible. there is nothing more than i'd like to see than a Melo/Kobe lead team with NOTHING to support them crumble.
c.) Adding Melo IMO keeps them a lotto team, something we need in order to get their pick. We need the lakers to be a 5-10 lotto team, not a 1-5 lotto team.

I know this will sound crazy, but if the Suns strike out on Lebron/Bosh/Etc, what about doing a trade for Amare (using our second round picks). Not for Amare himself (I could care less if he even suits up, though any PT would be a bonus), but basically to fleece value out of the Knicks (maybe Iman and a draft pick, though I believe the 2015 draft pick is off limits due to the new consecutive pick rules) so that the Knicks get some cap space, and the Suns get more assets to use in a future Love (or other superstar trade). If Dolan still has any say, he will do anything to make the Knicks competitive immediately (ex: sign Gasol to an overinflated contract). I don't see any sense in signing middling free agents, instead get some more assets, and make another Free agency or trade run in 6 months to a year. The Suns have the cap space, and it would be still there next summer. The Suns for this year would focus on their current roster and building up the new rooks.

Return to Phoenix Suns
