The Suns can quickly shed $10 million more in contracts to pursue James and a second star – perhaps Bosh, if James wanted – and they’d still be able to keep the talented core of Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and center Miles Plumlee.
James’ agent Rich Paul represents Bledsoe and understands James’ commitment to the Suns would almost guarantee he could get Bledsoe a max-contract extension with the Suns.

This is huge. Lebron agent gets paid bigtime if this happens. Two max deals for him!? If everything is equal or favors the Suns' why wouldn't you as an agent steer James to PHX? Do you know how much James signing would put in the pocket of Sarver and the city of Phoenix?
Hell yea he'd give Bledsoe max without thinking and another player for at least 3 years. Hey, you only live once and you cant take it with you!!
I really like Gasol in Phoenix though. 3 year 30 million, Even though he is older our team would be better than that Laker team that two-peated, because of everyone else.
By signing Gasol instead of another max guy, we could keep our entire team intact from last year.
although Gasol is the acquisition II think work best with James here, I am against the contractual leverage used to get Bledsoe a max deal. May be this is a snag in the dealings, but I would wager our FO is countering with market value deal (similar to Lowery's) for Bledsoe on the table. You sign James, Gasol, and Bled, then have enough for Dragic the following season and this is a contender for the next 3-4 yrs.

Cleveland still makes got a much better story and an equal if not better chance to cruise through the East and get to the finals...
As for the Bledsoe max offer from Milw, if James is out of the picture, could we work a sign and trade 3 teamer and may be snag Love? I think Bwgood outlined one on milws board. Or perhaps glean a future first along with Illysova,,, Or ? Or? I don't think we need to get into the practice if overpaying anyone, and really think Bled's minutes could be absorbed by Goodwin, Ennis, Ish or perhaps another PG FA . We are talking about 15 back up pg a night, and 10 along side Dragic. Is Archie up for the task? Right now our SG/wing spot is loaded .... Green, probably Tucker, Goodwin, CusMo, Warren.
We march forward with a young hungry squad, sans Bledsoe , a few low key additions and loads of cap space for trades and signings. Bled's a tough loss. So I'd definitely want a lightly protected 1st.
Also, to conclude my 'here comes Randall, he's a beserker' wrangle, with the Houston/Milw Lin talk, perhaps we take Illysova off their hands. He's still my favorite Frye replacement. We get nudged out of the James-games, McDo can certainly utilize cap space to get assets
