Yes they will because they like pain.

When/If Melo leaves, they will get to argue about the need of a primary scorer and how Phil has to talk Durant into coming here. Only to be spurned and end up with some lesser player who will come here and get his game picked apart because he's not Durant. We'll probably have to trade for him and fans won't be happy because we will have had to give up way too much to field a competitive team right away. He'll then play out his contract and we'll demand he takes less to show he's about winning, while we have yet to put consistently good players around him. Start the process over.

It will either be that or another decade of the IT years.

unfortunately that wouldnt happen. as is without melo this team doesnt have 25 wins in them

Why would that be unfortunate?

because i dont want to win 25 games?

Personally I think it's ridiculous and everyone has a right to be pissed about it if it does happen. LA does not offer him a better prospect to win than the Knicks OR Bulls, and if he goes there it'll probably be as a FA which means you guys don't even get picks/assets. Seems like a lose/lose for both of us

I would be slightly less mad if it was the Lakers instead of the Bulls. We don't compete with them for a playoff spot, and in the West they are going nowhere anyway with or without Melo unless they drastically change their roster.

I'd still be mad, don't see any reason for him to go there.

Melo is a top 5 player, players around the league knows this. It's why Kobe and Lebron wants to play with him. He's better then every FA in 2015, not fair to blame the Knicks failures on him with so many injuries and lack of talent around him. Yes he has flaws, but every top 10 player does.

If Carmelo is practicing with Kobe, it must mean he's testing him to see if he can still play.

What Woj is trying to imply is Kobe and Melo were battling one on one not working out with Love.

Melo has wanted LA for a while well before being traded to NY. Phil laughed at the idea then, and I doubt melo has forgotten, but it may be well into the back of his mind.

I wouldnt be surprised as he always been a player about his money firstly, and to be honest none of his choices are winning any time soon, so I doubt thats factored in at all.

if winning was his primary he'd opt in and sign with his team choices with cap space next season without such a roster downgrade....mainly you guys, but that may not be his interest primarily.

This is actually spot on. I mean,.. I seen a lot of people say they rather he walk to LA than trade him to the bulls.

I wonder how many of us have refused to eat because it's not exactly what we wanted. Then later be like, ....****. I should have just ate.

You know, those Bulls fans were right. We should've signed and traded him! Better to get something than nothing!!

I honestly think if Melo chooses LA he would get some serious backlash and hate when ever he's in NY. Real NYers will never forget or forgive him.
