Carmelo could have ruled them out internally but has not yet informed anyone externally. That is not a contradiction although, as a general matter, I don't buy anything being said but I am enjoying this so Im going to ride with it.

All the tweet says is Chicago hasn't been iNFORMED they're out of it - it doesn't contradict anything.
