I'd bet anything that we find out Riley said no to all sign and trades in an effort to get Lebron to stay there or take less to leave. That's probably what this whole hold up has been about.

As much as we would all LOVE for this to happen, Lebron has supposedly been going to almost every team since he opted out. Don't look to much into this, its either Miami or Cleveland. I would love to know if we at least somehow tried to make a sales pitch at him. That would at least mean MLSE wants to try and win.

Very unlikely. There is no particular reason to believe that Lebron would want to sign in Toronto over several other teams.

Is Toronto championship ready? No.

Is Toronto a great market for Lebron to make more money over major US markets? No.

Does Lebron have any particular personal or professional ties to bring him to Toronto? No.

Does Toronto look to have the capspace to sign Lebron outright, thus avoiding the need to engineer a deal with Miami when Miami doesn't want him to leave? No.
