Slash bros won't have room to operate if you have a bunch of bigs clogging the lane. They'll be forced to settle for long jumpers.

But Anderson may not be expendable just because of Asik. You can still play Asik and Anderson each 30 minutes and Davis 36 in the frontcourt, depending on matchup.

Ersan llyasova would be a head scratcher to me.
He's locked in for 3 more years and is making 8mil per.

Yeah he's younger but frye was a guaranteed fit knowing the ins and outs of the system for years.
I don't like that idea
actually that last year of ersans deal is a team option so it's more stomachache. The real risk in acquiring him is that he was awful last year. Now if you're an optimist you blame that on injuries and overall disfunction of last years bucks team. But it's a gamble for sure.

Guys, gut check time.

You don't want Hayward at that price. I Promise.

Stop trying to trade our All-NBA 3rd team guard for Lance Stephenson and/or Roy Hibbert. We can sign Stephenson outright. We have like $30m in cap space. Hibbert is broken mentally, not physically. Nothing our trainers can do for him.

Deng? No.

Monroe - I guess, but why? Just to make a move? Feels like.

I think the last thing you want to do is lock yourself into a 4-year deal with anyone. If you're so hard after a SF, go pay Pierce $20m over two years. That's not a contract you'll regret, and there is still some sexiness to it.

Also, Ryan Anderson is a better shooter/rebounder than Frye and on a two year deal as well. S&T Tucker there. Also not a contract you'll regret, and he's an awesome dude to boot.

PG - Bledsoe / Ennis
SG - Dragic / Green / Goodwin
SF - Pierce / Warren / Morris
PF - Anderson / Morris
C - Plumlee / Len

Let your young guys develop - wait until next offseason. That's a very competitive team - McD is familiar with Pierce, right? It wouldn't surprise me to see Len nab the starting spot this year. You have three draft picks next year and every ability to make an in-season trade to push you over the hump.

it's not good, but, wow-- what he described is more than 'someone hurting someone.' thats some nasty stuff and some righteous anger is in store if he did that (i'm not saying he did or didnt-- i don'tknow anything about it). that's more than 'hurting someone.' that's despicable stuff.

I'm skeptical about that story personally. If true, that would be attempted murder. Why weren't police charges filed or a multimillion dollar lawsuit for that matter? That story reeks of Birdman/Kobe style slander IMO.

i disagree w/ a lot of this but agree so much w the bolded. if Ryan stays patient this yr i'm OK w that; that's a smart move. upcoming FA classes blow this one outta the water.

once again, i have no reason to believe that it's true, i've never heard about that before.

but your reasoning is not that good-- these types of things have happened a lot without police interference. there was a lawsuit in colorado a cpl years ago that went to the supreme court, where a victim (or the victim-decedent's family, i think) sued the local police for not enforcing a protective order. stuff like this was going on exactly. it's not uncommon. there is a whole movement to encourage the enforcement of domestic violence laws

Use our cap to get assets

Stephenson- 4 years 42million
1st year- 15
2nd year - 9 mill
3rd year- 9 mill
4th year- 9 mill

Stephenson at 9 million is a great deal, and a good trade asset if we need it in the future

Monroe
5 years- 65 million
1- 15 million
2- 12 million
3- 12
4-12
5-12

Let's invest I'n the future and get good contracts . For the long hall

That would completely kill our flexibility if things went wrong with those two.

Was unfortunately listening to Colin Cowherd this morning and he was laying out reasons why Cleveland might be a better fit than Miami because they have a young roster with talent etc. I couldn't help to think that the Suns have more talent than Cleveland yet zero national sports pundits (particularly ESPN) talked about how well Lebron would fit in Phx's system.

On ESPN they ranked the teams by best fit. They had the Mavs 1st and the Suns 5th I believe.

Cavs with Lebron, Kyrie and Love are the best team in the east...

Its that simple....

Lebron is staying in the eastern conference because as already stated many many times, what ever team he is on in the eastern conference becomes a finals contender.

Had the suns FO known how good the team would have been last season, do you think they would have gone for Al Jefferson last summer?

Adding Love certainly puts them as most likely the best team in the East, but this isn't enough to beat the Spurs in a 7 game series. This would be a squad with a lack of playoff experience except for Lebron.

Pretty sure that CO couple you are talking about didn't include a multimillionaire and there are a lot of people in the US who are always looking for a reason to sue someone with money. Anyways, Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat (the burden of proof is on he who declares, not on he who denies). Lance is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers. This reflexive torch and pitchfork mob reaction to some baseless story on the internet is detrimental to everyone involved. Case in point: http://www.thestar.com/sports/basketbal ... entre.html
