No doubt... I think Toronto needs to move Caribana & OVOfest up to 4th of July weekend just after Canada Day... All the NBA'ers come up to T.O for that... Raps would be able to get a meeting with every FA available easily...

Wiggins is an unknown. If Love trade doesn't happen, it's Uncle Drew and Bron Bron plus a bunch of kids. Doesn't sound like a championship team to me.

I agree, I think they need another star before LeBron commits and Wiggins is a huge chip. Philly is also sitting in a really good spot right now - they're the only team with massive cap space and no immediate timetable for winning, they're the defacto option for teams hoping to clear salary. I could imagine a scenario they net a package like 1st rounder/Parsons/Lin for basically nothing if Houston got a commitment from LeBron.

This has nothing to do with the weather!

Ha. I guess Blatche is not another severe weather system.

Lebron is two years away from being two years away on being 50/50

Yeah right... Why would LeBron come here? How would we get enough capspace? This makes absolutely no sense.

If Bobcat really said this, he's reached a new low. Just lost all credibility.

We could promise to backpay him in Canadian Tire money.

Sign and trade. LeBron can force his way to any team wants. I don't believe this rumor, but I do believe we offer him the best situation in the east

On the bright side, he received a little bit of attention for a couple hours. Fair trade?

Hardcore trolling by Bob. Probably because he got relegated to the internet by the Jays today. Having a suck attack and decided to screw with Sportsnet programmers, by trying it get some huge story brewing and pointing out on how they missed out talking about it on radio with lots of callers because he got b-listed.

Don't believe for one sec.

I absolutely see no way of this happening. Since we can't sign him outright, we have no leverage on an S&T. The assets we would have to give up in an S&T would strip the team of its core, making it unattractive for any premium FA - let alone Lebron - to come here.

BUT...

A colleague who is a basketball fan, a good friend of a prominent basketball journalist/author in the city (not Doug) and very connected to the downtown sports scene (Eric Lindros texts him birthday messages) told me a few weeks ago in hushed terms that "Lebron to Toronto is possible". No guarantees, but it's possible. I don't see it myself, but I gotta trust my colleague.

So there.

If LeBron has decided to go elsewhere, Miami would prefer a sign and trade to get something back rather than LBJ going to a team with enough cap space. So we'd have some leverage.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

This is the biggest bunch of BS on the history of this board! It would have to be Sign & trade and by the time we did it there would be nothing left for James to play with. Too stupid! Like a weather person saying 50/50% chance of rain. If it happens told you so. If it doesn't told you so! LMfA & a bunch of other parts Off!
