Re: Bucks looking at Lin, Bledsoe and Vasquez
What was Morway's official title last year? I always though he at least at equal authority with Hammond or even had an advisory role over Hammond. It is interesting to note that the new structure clearly lists Hammond as GM and Morway Assistant GM, indicating that Hammond is clearly the one with authority between those two.

He was assistant GM last year too.
He was basically the assistant GM at the pacers when he was the "GM" also.

@daldridgetnt: Suns will continue their meeting with RFA Isaiah Thomas tomorrow. Have not yet committed to an offer sheet. No impact on Bledsoe's situation

Ok. Thanks. I guess I assumed he had more authority over Hammond last year.

None of those were trades, like the deal I discussed was, or the ones we're worried about right now.
And I'm sure bringing back Zaza and Delfino weren't Kohl's ideas. Morway wasn't here during either their times, and Hammond during Zaza's. Kohl loved to bring back former mediocre players of his like Dez Mason. The fa offers last offseason had his fingerprints all over them. He's not here anymore.
Hammond has the eye, Morway the sly, and we finally got rid of the other guy. So I think it's a good situation now, actually. We should be optimistic that at worst this will be a neutral offseason, and at best an outstanding one, when the dust settles.

Wade's not the player he once was, but he's not bad enough to help us "tank." No reason to bring him in outside selling tickets.

I think Wade, offensively, would be a bad fit next to Giannis and would just take the ball out of his hands.

People are really advocating bringing Dwyane Wade in? Really?

If giannis can't find his jump shot I hope some 1 does take the ball out of his hands. You need some one other than knight to score n if wade took some of the pressure of parker and Knight so be it.

Wade is a pretty good distributor. Better than Knight or Wolters. He shot 55% last season. His problem is he breaks down over the year, we'd easily be a playoff team with him provided he stayed mostly healthy.
It's not even worth worrying about though, why would he want to come here to end his career? He could go to any number of teams where he'd be a better fit and he could go out on top, while making more money.
The only way we consider this is if we think this gets the arena deal done, and even then we need to clear lots of salary to make it happen, I just don't see it unless Wade really, really, really wants to come to Milwaukee. And if he wanted to come here that badly we wouldn't just be hearing about it now.

Yup. In another thread I listed all the major transactions that occurred after Morway was hired. If he was some hidden genius working in the front office he did an extremely impressive job of hiding it.

A Suns fan pointed out on their board that they "noticed Ennis has not been signed. I think there is something in the hopper - especially talking to Isiah Thomas (which I really don't like)."
Could Ennis be on the move?
I get having three strong PG's for their system but a rookie in addition does seem a bit excessive considering how badly they could use help in the front court.

Not sure where the Wade talk is coming from, but I wouldn't even want him at the minimum. No thanks.
Hibbert is a little more interesting because he's not exactly old and the idea of getting rid of Sanders is appealing, but I'd only do it if we could dump even more salary on the Pacers. And they wouldn't go for that. If you want to overpay a big man without much upside, Greg Monroe is available.

Our FO might have been an unstoppable runaway freight train of disaster when he was hired, its hard to say. Are we sure Morway was brought on as a check to Hammond rather than to bolster him in his power struggle with the cronies?
I just wish we had cleared these guys out so I didn't have to care about this anymore.

I think it is still too early to give up on Henson. At least 2 more years and then I would be willing to part ways. I think I would try to pick up an undrafted PG before this trade, like Deandre Kane or something

I don't think Ennis will be any good at all.

Ken Berger @KBergCBS 2m
Carmelo Anthony's intentions have not been communicated to the Bulls, source says. But Chicago has cap-clearing moves teed up.
Anything of note we might be able to pull from the Bulls in a salary dump?
