Anyway, hopefully this board is more receptive to the info.

This entire free agency hold-up is due to LBJ and Wade wanting to team up with Melo in MIA. They are waiting out Bosh to sign his HOU offer sheet. They will act like they never wanted Bosh to leave, and that acquiring Melo was a happy coincidence kind of fall-back plan. This is why Melo still hasn't signed with NYK despite having a 5/129 super-max on the table. Bosh is stalling to try and cockblock Melo from forcing him out, but time is not on his side as he needs to sign HOU's offer before the deadline for HOU to match DAL's offer sheet for Parsons (within the next 3 days). Ultimately, Bosh will have to decide between HOU's max offer, or taking somewhere in the $16mm/per neighborhood to play in MIA (where he's fully aware that both LBJ and Wade want him replaced by Melo).

Not trying to troll or stir up trouble, just some insight into what's going on behind the scenes. Hopefully you guys will be more receptive to it than the Knicks board.

I don't want Melo here...But if they want to make that work, they're all going to need to take significant pay cuts.

From what I've been told, Wade will be the one to take a sizable pay cut (4/$44) while LBJ and Melo will get max (or as close to max as possible).

That's opinion, not insight. It's not even well founded opinion. There is no indication from anywhere that the Heat or Wade don't want Bosh back ... or that he's any factor at all in Lebron's decision making process. That's just opinion formed from thin air.

It's not opinion, it's what I've been told by someone assuredly in the know. You can dismiss it or not, but in due time what I say will come to fruition. As soon as Bosh signs HOU's offer sheet (within the next 3 days), watch the dominos start falling (unless Bosh takes much less to stay in MIA).

So what is stopping Bosh from just signing for Miami at 16M/year?

Which btw is pretty much what Houston is offering too

I love how the media always conveniently forgets to mention that at the end of that SAME game, as the seconds were ticking down, and we were gonna go down 3-1 on our way to San Antonio, the arena also loudly started chanting "Let's go Heat."

But nope. Doesn't fit into the narrative. Quick, write a story about how much more appreciate Knicks fans would have been!

How is playing with a roster that totaled 33 wins last season more fun to play with than a team that is proven to take you to the Finals? I guess second round knock outs are fun?

I thought the Crowd booed the Heat as a team.

I mean we're sucking. You can't blame Heat fans that time. they were passionate as fans wanting to win.

Mike Dildon knows nothing.

yup, but Wilbon pointed to the fact that no legend, bird, magic, and jordan have been booed. And pretends that the heat fans were booing lebron, which they werent. Just stupid

Stop trolling. Wade didn't opt out of 20 million a year to make 8.5 on a team where McRoberts is making MLE money. Wade isn't St. Vincent.

We could have used his roster spot for James Ennis or Shaun Livingston. Damn it!

Imagine the following roster:

PG - Darren Collison / Cole
SG - Wade / Shaun Livingston / Allen
SF - James / Battier / Ennis
PF - Bosh / Haslem / Lewis
C - Anderson / Greg Stiemsma / Hamilton

This roster could have brought us our 4th banner.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 22s
Dwyane Wade left cross-country flight with LeBron James to Miami still unsure of which way James is leaning, sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Assuming he's telling the truth? Perhaps us. I've been thinking there was a way for this story to happen. And if so, with LeBron being all for it, the Heat front office could also be all in with it. They might have come to peace with letting Bosh go make his money in Houston and won't offer him a deal.

Remember, IF (HUGE if) this is true, Bosh is a UFA. Miami is under no obligation to sign him. It wouldn't be a pretty move, but Bosh is also not DWade to this franchise. Every franchise only has a VERY select few players for whom it's always more than business, imo. Everyone else? If we can keep them, and they're good, great. But if we can make a clear improvement? I don't want my FO hesitating over sentimental reasons, no offense to Bosh.

...and so the insider is exposed.

1) under the CBA, the max anyone can offer Bosh is 20.6
2) the rockets do not have the cap space to offer 20.6, let alone 22.

By my calculations, he could do that (or maybe a little less) and we could still have room for Bron and Melo at around $18M. I've posted them a few times and think it can work if done in the right sequence (which isn't all that complicated) to give a payroll just below the $81M apron.

This is really bad publicity for the Cavs.

It's as if everyone forgot because it wasn't talked about much...but then it leaked out that it's holding LBJ's decision back -which is probably false- and everyone is starting to remember again. Starting to remember the urinal cakes (peeing on a pic of LBJ's face), the burning of the jerseys, the trash talk. What a kick in the nuts.

Cavs fans that came in here to justify that letter and reaction, naaaaah man. You can't justify that.
