B. Ramon was much imprvoed his defense and I dont thik Bledsoe is that far ahead of him. Bldedsoe is a shoot first guy so on offense it s wash. Ramon is a better FT shooter and Bledsoe is proably a step quicker. The both shoot from perimeter the same and both know how to score inside. Ramon howver has averaged as high as 9 assists per page in his career. Dont see that passing ability in Bledsoe.
C. While you see him as another great young piece. I see him as too much of risk to put nearly 1/4 of the teams Salary cap into one players who has had two major injuries already. There has been no other teams who has offered him a big contract yet. I wonder why that is? Maybe they have same thoughts as I do.
Sessions is 28, and Bledsoe 24. And there is closer to 4 years between their birthdates than 3, so you knew what you were doing there.
Bledsoe is a much better defender according to pretty much every advanced metric. Much better xrapm, dws, etc. If you watch them, there is a drastic difference in their foot-speed and awareness on and off the ball.
And he actually posted a slightly higher assist-rate this season. That's in spite of playing next to Dragic and not being the ball dominator type point that Sessions or Knight are. I mean you could even watch highlight videos from games and tell that. He does everything quickly from shoot to pass, so he's not eating precious shot clock, committing pseudo to's by doing so. If he handled the ball longer, and dumped it off to teammates at the end of the clock like some, he'd increase his assist totals greatly, but at the expense of his teammates. It's a myth that all pg's with lowish assist rates are not good floor generals. Some, like Bledsoe, are helping their team by having a lowish assist total. If you're going to ball dominate you better have crazy assist totals like Paul and Nash, not still a pedestrian assist total like Sessions and Knight.
He's just the much better overall player than what we had last year at this point, and still has upside to boot.
So offering a contract to Bledsoe at the max, in comparison to even Sessions at the minimum, would be a better move because the former actually is probably a needle mover while the latter surely isn't, unless we're talking about it moving in the wrong direction.
