McRoberts is a great piece next to a Lebron James' Heat roster. But he just doesn't fit with the new Bosh centric direction. I know it would be a huge hit to the franchise's reputation for Riley to pull the agreement but we'd be signing a guy who just doesn't fit with the current framework of the team. That's money that could be huge in us rebuilding other areas.

No. That cripples us in 2016. I don't want to end up like the Lakers with Kobe. Wade ISNT worth $20 mil. He's barely worth $14 mil with how little he plays.
so wade opted out, so that we give him 6 m less + no lebron + a team in the tanking zone..

I think this would be an ideal, and still somewhat competitive roster in the East.If we don't get Deng,or Lance.
Greg Oden/Chris Anderson,Justin Hamilton
Chris Bosh/Josh McRoberts/Udonis Haslem
Micheal Beasley/Danny Granger/James Ennis
Dwyane Wade/Xavier Henry
Mario Chalmers/Norris Cole/Shabazz Napier
One roster spot left over, for flexibility purposes.

Wait a minute. EVAN TURNER IS A FREE AGENT! What about him as a third option on this team? He's only been in the league four years. Why not? I can't imagine him commanding that much money, but his issues are defensive. The talent is there for sure, though.

True about McRoberts... He fit with us when Lebron was here but now
Two stretch people in the front court? Who don't rebound as well as we would like?
Lol.

There is no going back on mcroberts get over it. Why would ANY FA want to deal with Pat after some **** like that? I feel like people already hate him for no reason.

We were probably better off not signing anyone and trying to sell Lebron on a big piece such as Bledsoe or Monroe, or possibly Gasol. But nah, too late now.

I hate seeing all these guys coming off the board and for cheap. I think we went all-or-nothing on LeBron and that was a mistake. The dude was clearly 50/50 AT BEST, and then for the past week or two, at least, he really was at that 85% Cavs point. Anthony Morrow and Vince Carter would have been nice pieces on the cheap.
Can't we go after Jameer Nelson over Chalmers? Even without LeBron that makes so much more sense. He's a short term holdover option that still has decent scoring and APG numbers, and he allows us to develop Napier at his own pace. Nelson makes so much more sense than Chalmers.
I like Boozer, but only if he comes cheap. Booz + McBob + Bosh + Haslem makes us pretty deep in the frontcourt, although I'd still like to top that off with a C. Okafor would be sweet. Big Baby could be nice, as well. And I'd certainly take back Birdman and/or Oden, too.
As for Deng, I'll take him on a two year deal. I don't mind paying him well for two seasons, to remain relevant, and then going for the gold again in 2016. Quite frankly, I doubt LaMarcus Aldridge or Marc Gasol leave Portland or Memphis, and I also wonder about Al Jefferson with the Hornets entering an exciting new era for their franchise. But anyways, Marvin Williams and Shawn Marion are also decent short-term options if we miss out on Deng, as well, but at that point I'd say things are looking a little less than stellar.
At this point I'd do the same with a backup for Wade. Short-term deal from someone we can COUNT ON to play. Caron Butler would fit. Paul Pierce might be worth a look, as well. MAYBE Evan Turner, if we think we can turn him back around and just get some offense out of him? Also, if we lose James Jones, we should give Troy Daniels a look on the cheap. I liked what I saw from him in Houston's series against the Blazers. I didn't know he was a UFA. He can definitely be something in this league someday, I think.
But ultimately, if we can hit it big with a piece to build around, I'd say give Bledsoe and Monroe our best shot. And stay open-minded on Lance Stephenson, at least. For all the trouble guys like him might seem like, when they're valuable, they're valuable. Look at Dennis Rodman or Metta. Or (not comparing him skills-wise here) A.I. early on in the Larry Brown Sixers days. A little bit of immaturity is not worth writing a guy off entirely over.

Give Wade his original 2/40 contract heck even add a few million but no way should the contract be any longer. Think big picture.

He's sending us a subliminal message guys!!!!!
Take this for what it's worth, but my uncle works at a pastelito shop that's often frequented by Heat insiders, and they say that Jameer Nelson signing here is pretty much at 100% at this point. He's just doing his due diligence at this point in meeting with other teams. But Nelson is ours. He's looking to cement his legacy by coming to Miami and leading the Heat to the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference.
Twitter sources are saying that Jameer Nelson is set to make his announcement on his website at 3:05am!!!!! WHAT ELSE COULD THAT POSSIBLY MEAN?!?!?!!?
Micky Arison's personal cruise ship is currently sailing over to Jameer Nelson right now! Everybody track it! Jamaal Magloire is rumored to be on board!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I promise I'm not mocking you Paz, just the whole LeBron insanity, now in retrospect)

Only if Houston waited, we could of been a player for Asik. But I guess next summer Asik would be a great addition in free agency. I think he is the perfect center next to Bosh.

Realizing Bosh is a smart guy and idea if he has an opt out in two years to coincide with the new tv deal?
