And yeah, the guy is a train-wreck waiting to happen kind of player. He has not been fine for the past 4 years.

Doctors thought he may have contracted viral meningitis. They ran a spinal tap. Deng's system didn't respond well to it and he dealt with severe side effects for a while.

I see. Thanks.
Anyway, the dude and Wade will not make a very healthy duo. I am looking at his numbers of games played and it's been consistently not so great except for 2 seasons out of 10.

Not that we have many options.. but I rather our FO spending money on PG or C than Deng (if long-term).

Uh no he has not??? He has been hurt every single year for spans. Esepecially the Bulls last play off run. He had a spinal tap. Deng has the body of a 34 year old and aging quick. He has 2 good years at best.

I would love the Deng signing assuming its only for 2 years. As much as it sucks to have our championship window slammed shut, it is refreshing to go back to the Heat teams that may be short on talent, but long on heart and effort.

It doesn't matter what he says. He can play for the team with the highest bid or retire.

DefenseWins is right that those amnestied scrubs usually get their way by hinting retirement and not getting picked up by scrub teams.

But you are also right in that they don't really have a choice but to play for the claimed team or retire. Chauncey Billups didn't want to play for the Clippers when he was claimed off waivers, but he ended up playing for them and had a decent time I believe.

but you cant compare Lebron's body to the Deng's one !

I agree with you, Deng will be fine here and Spo wont overuse it like Thibs did

There's a reason LeBron was asking out of games this season. As minutes accumulate on the body's odometer, it takes a toll. Doesn't matter how conditioned or sculpted an athlete is.

But that is very different than being injury prone. Why can you not admit one of the most injury prone guys is injury prone? Lol and for the hell of it you try and make an absurd comparison too Lebron, which you would not if he was on your team. What the Heat need if they were smart is assets. A young Stevenson from the Pacers is 50 times more valuable than Deng and almost the same price, why not get Him and start building a young Core slowly?

Get the hell out of our forum dude. Go conspire with your friends about how you're stealing the 2012-2013 Heat and putting them in Cavs uniforms.
