DARN, we were talking about this today. FANTASTIC move. Preserves the Durant dream, and Pierce has shown he can play some stretch PF.

2014-15 Starting Lineup???

1. John Wall
2. Bradley Beal
3. Paul Pierce
4. Marcin Gortat
5. Nene
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Yeah, there's no mystery about that lineup, assuming Nene can make it through the offseason and training camp without getting hurt. The bigger issue will be the bench and whether we can find one more big. Assuming Webster misses first month, looks like Gooden, Porter, Miller and fill in the blank for rest of bench (Rice? Seraphin? FA?).

Seems like Booker T may re-up...

Well we swept the Nets last year, and maybe that was a factor. Deron WIlliams COULD NOT GUARD Wall at all.

Hopefully Randy uses Pierce as a stretch PF this year in certain lineups.

Yeah, I was hoping that wouldn't be true. Yawn.

Raps fan here.

Really good move for you guys. I thought the Raps would be slightly ahead of the Wiz next year, but I think this puts both teams pretty damn close to each other. Nice to see a couple teams in the east rising.

Porter will get a lot of burn behind pierce, I think we bring in some more bigs, if we can some how, maybe with out trade exception or something. I think the key will be limiting Pierce and NENE and saving them for the playoffs.

Someone on the GB is claiming that Wade is talking to the Wizards, too. I don't buy it at all (it doesn't make any sense, basketball-wise) but I'll pass it along.
