Bonnell only "breaks" stuff unless it is 99.9% factual. That is one good thing about him. If he tweets it, it probably came from Cho's mouth himself.

Honestly if we take this risk to sign Lance and our locker room/team falls apart I wont Blame Cho or be angry because They did what they could to get this team better. Its not like we have overly attractive names on our roster or assets to give away. And if we don't do anything we just get stuck in the middle

Yea i wont be mad if we swing and miss on him, at least we took a swing to begin with, you cant hit homeruns if you dont take a swing first

Offer him whatever we have left and be done with it.

OK, now we can get serious about lance discussions.

this probably takes us out of the boozer sweepstakes, because we would want all of that 13 mil in cap space to lure lance - not saying it should or will take 13 mil.

ideally, we offer more money on a shorter deal. 2 years, 24 mil? would that be a more attractive deal for lance vs the 5/44 deal? its risky, but if he is half the talent he thinks he is, then he should have no probably getting his next contract at a higher salary, especially if the cap rises 30% like some are projecting.

Hornets management had contact with Stephenson’s representatives Tuesday, multiple NBA sources confirmed. Stephenson is one of the last name free agents in this class yet to sign, and the Hornets could use his scoring and shooting ability at the wings.

we have made contact with him

I think we should match the guaranteed money offered by the Pacers and subtract one year which puts us right at the rumored asking price of his closest comp, Tyreke Evans, 4 years 44 million.

getting ahead of myself here, but we really would need to find a follow up trade of hendo for a power forward. or at the very least a deal for to move neal. we cant have lance, hendo, neal, hairston and taylor. thats crazy.

Would fit well with all of our other 2 year contracts, but I think he wants the longer term deal. 4/48 or something of that nature, or just go all the way and make sure he can't say no and go 4/52

Got to get Henderson out of town, I hope Cho was trying to line up something before leaking this and luring bidders out of the woodwork.

keep the deal to two years and give him more money. thats what i'd be comfortable with. signing lance to a big 4 year deal scares me too much.

We better not overpay for him. Keep it reasonable and I will be very pleased with the off season. If we bring him in and move Henderson as well I will be thrilled.
