The move they DID make would have looked genius if Bosh DID sign with them. But he didn't, so it's a moot point. They 100% made the right move, it was very likely to work out in brilliant fashion, but this was the one scenario where it blew up in their faces. Still the right play though, and the Rockets/Morey know that and would do it again.

They would probably not guarantee a couple of contracts and they could have offered Bosh the $75 mil over 5 years. I think Morey didn't think Lebron would leave, hence thought he didn't have a shot. So when he did, he already made Parsons a RFA, Cuban gave him an offer sheet and the rest is history.

@ Rubio's agent wanting a max deal. Good luck with that. He would struggle to score in a high school game.

Yup. And while Ariza isn't as good as Parsons, he's probably a better fit. Houston's lack of defense was exposed, and Ariza should improve them there more than the offense declines with him v Parsons. Houston is still going to have no problems scoring, and they really don't need Parson's extra skills on offense. They got Ariza at a good price rather than over-paying Parsons.

Dallas is interesting now with Parsons. I love their frontcourt - including their depth, but their backcourt is filled with questionmarks. I'm a big believer in Mark Cuban's understanding how to put together a team, so I'm guessing their backcourt somehow meshes well. And it helps to have the most underrated coach in basketball - Rick Carlisle.

Wow I read that too and was like wow!?!? It's interesting but I think we all knew that WallStar, Kyrie and Lillard would get max deals because of the status of their team and how losing them would set the team back years as much as for their upside. I don't know how you can say that about Rubio- hell I don't know if kyrie gets amax deal if Lebron was already on Cavs. Kyrie may have had to give the "it's a privilege to play with the King" discount to the Cavs-

The only other max worthy "young"guard is curry, like melo did in Denver curry signed the extension too soon- next time he maxing the heck out- :crazy:

WOW, Lance to Charlotte for 3/27, with last year a team option. Excellent contract, and a big blow to Indy, who lost creativity, ball handling, and athleticism.

The reasonable amount and contract structure has to make that one of the best signings this Free Agency.

Lance was a 2nd round pick so he was unrestricted. Looks like he just wanted to get out of Indy since they offered him a bigger deal.

Just more proof that 2nd round picks have no value.

Pacers offered Lance, 5 years $44 million.

So he effectively left 2 years and $17 million on the table to LEAVE Indiana. Wow.

Obviously the chemistry there went south.
