Other than Philly, I think 12mil a year is about the best he can get from any other team. The guy should be happy with 12mil a year. That's more than decent.

If this is close to being true, Bledsoe needs a new agent because Rich Paul is clueless - he cannot get this from anyone except the Suns and they will not give it to him.

Being LeBrons agent is easy. For Miami - the three players told Riles what they were going to make. For this deal with Cleveland - LeBron said "Max" and they said "yes. thank you."

This deal is tougher. There is zero leverage for Bledsoe. He needed to get a team- Houston, Miami, Dallas - even Milwaukee - anybody with cap space - to offer the Hayward deal. Couldn't get it

They should hold here. Honestly I wouldn't go higher than this. Let it go into the season if it has to. If they really moved from 44 to 48 and Bledsoe's camp didn't budge that was a bad move.

Anyone know what happens if you never reach a deal? If he were to hold out the entire season do we still hold his rights and he doesn't make a dime? What's the latest he can take the QO?

To be fair to Bledsoe, we have no idea if anything coming out of Broussard's mouth has any credibility.

Broussard and Windhorst really had bad reporting with the LeBron deal. They both were wrong - A LOT. Especially Windhorst.

Broussard is just as bad. Even a broken clock is right twice per day..

He has 3 choices. He can sit out, but the Suns would retain his rights. He can go overseas, but the Suns would retain his rights. He can play for the QO.

Lakers really shouldhave skipped Melo and maxed on Bledsoe - day 1, minute 1
would have jacked with the Suns

I'm surprised few teams didn't call our bluff with that being the MAX.

He probably thinks he's better than Parsons and Hayward who got maxed. Which I believe he is.

But at the end of the day he'll accept our offer I think.

Rich Paul is not helping out his client's image with this fantasy of a max offer. I already have a sour taste in my mouth for Bledsoe and It might not even be any of his fault (He might love playing for the Suns).

He thinks he's Lebron.

First time starter, only played almost half of the season and now he wants 80MIL.

Me too. I think the Mavericks did that with Parsons - come on, that guy wasn't worth 45/3. But Cuban has so much money, a more reasonable offer would have been matched so whats $10m over three years for Shark Tank

This posturing is probably to ultimately get Bledsoe 4 years max instead.

Wouldn't shock me now if he takes a 3 year deal with the 3rd being a player options.

That would have to be offered to him.

I think Bledsoe will get four years between 48 and 54m and will be playing with the Phoenix Suns. The contract will be structured that maximizes CBA rules - meaning if they can make it 15, 13, 12 and 12

At this point if someone wants to pay him the max we should be able to work out a sign and trade, I would not give him more than 12million a year that is more than fair based on his career till now.

Yeah, I'd give him enough time to make sure other teams are done with their moves, and if he still wouldn't sign, tell him he has those three choices or to accept our offer.

The max the Lakers can offer is 4/63 - same as Hayward I believe.

But the Lakers have these on the books
Kobe -23.5
Randle - 2
Young - 5
HIll - 9
Boozer - 3
Lin - 8.3
Clarkson - 1m
Nash - 10m

My math: 61m.

Salary cap is 63.
They cannot offer the MLE as they are under the cap

JDLAW correct me if wrong - but the Redneck is wrong.
