Eh... after 2nd thought, I wouldn't want to give Monroe an 8 figure contract. Just isn't worth it. I'd still ask the Pelicans if they want to trade Ryan Anderson for Gerald Green. Helps both teams out, maybe we through in Brown, lol.

While i do believe that Monroes stats would increase here in the Valley with our system and current players, i have cooled off on him a lot.

If both deals were on the table (Bledsoe for Monroe and Bledsoe for Randle/Hill/1st), i would take the Lakers deal and run.

As i wrote in the middle of the night a few nights ago:

Kerrsed wrote:I like Randle and the HOU 1st. I might be open to Hill, he has game and ties to the Valley, but he is a bit overpaid. The kid can rebound, defend decently, play both PF/C and is still young. Is he worth $9M a season? Who knows. He could be a star in a more uptempo system like ours, or he could just fail (which is more unlikely).

Randle is NBA ready and was the 7th pick in the draft. Having a young talent bursting with potential on a rookie contract for years to come would be great. He could possibly solve our PF dilemma for years to come. We could then play Keiff more at C if we choose, or use him as trade bait, as Randle has a much higher ceiling and the Morris twins will be looking for new contracts after next season. It opens up a lot of possibilities for us.

Add in another 2015 1st round pick in our war-chest, and thats another asset to use at our discretion.

Im probably one of the biggest Bledsoe fans on the board. If it came down to trading him or Dragic, i would have traded Dragic. But that was then and this is now. Max contract for a lot of unknowns? No thanks. We gave him a very reasonable offer and he shut us down. Does he want to be here? Who really knows. I think he would go wherever he could for a max contract, then become disgruntled and push for a trade to a city where he really wants to go. He is a great player with lots of potential. I love his defense and swagger, but it seems like his head is getting too big and he's taking the "Mini-Lebron" nick-name too seriously.

I wanted Randle in the draft. I was hoping for some McD miracle on draft night and I guess that's why I was so disappointed at first. I love what we've seen from Warren but we really need a dominate big.

I could see us flipping Randle and a lot of picks for Love.

Looks like the Jazz have been studying the Suns and are taking on the McD/Horny philosophy.

Too bad our "Unique Backcourt" also plays defense, unlike one made up of Burke/Exum.

Why are you arguing about keef and Monroe? Greg played center until Drummond took over.

Great quote by someone who faked his serve. Nice attempt.

Besides, who have you destroyed?

Dragic/Thomas/Ennis
Green/Goodwin
Tucker/Marcus/Warren
Kieff/Hill/Randle/Tolliver
Monroe/Len/Randolph

I'm not saying I like it.

Randle couldn't even rebound in summer league, why is everyone so hot for him?

Absolutely considering that he won't have Drummond and Smith clogging the lane for him in PHX. We have much better shooters and guards than the Pistons so his shooting % should go up dramatically here. Teams won't be able to focus on him defensively as much as they did to him in Detroit.

He's the type of Z-Bo, Cousins type old school big man that we lack against teams like Memphis, Sacramento, Detroit, Chicago etc.

I would offer Bledsoe 5 years, 60 million. Still 12 million a year but he also gets an extra year of security. He has not proven to be a max player yet and paying him a max now is outrageous. I also do not believe any of these garbage rumors with the Lakers. No way. You think the Suns want to trade Bledsoe to the Lakers and watch him flourish on their most heated rival? I cannot see that happening. Trading a dwindling Steve Nash to the Lakers is one thing. Trading a 24 year old potential superstar point guard to them is another. I imagine Bledsoe is still most likely going to be on the Suns next year unless the Suns get blown away with a sign and trade offer. And by blown away I mean something like the Bucks offering Jabari Parker for him, which is never going to happen. The talk of Ilyasova and fillers for Bledsoe is insulting. That guy sucks. He shoots 41% fg and 28% 3 pts. Yes, those are his real stats. So unless someone comes in with an amazing offer, I expect the Suns to keep Bledsoe. Ryan McDonough has already proven multiple times that he is not willing to get screwed in trades, unlike Lance Blanks or Steve Kerr.
