The chance of Rose returning to superstardom is more valuable then anything you would get back in a trade for him imo.

maybe we told Niko we wouldnt trade him and maybe we didnt. But lets not pretend that he has been some super loyal cat either. he choose to leave only after things went bad in RM and after we paid him a nice amount.

Nike gets more money if we trade him, he would get over it.

Niko, mc3, Taj, Dunleavy, 1st for Love, martin is my offer. If it cost more then that then i ride with our team, in no way do i help cleveland get Love.

Martin is a decent 2 guard, but i would rather wait and see what we have, then at the deadline maybe make a move.

It depends on whether or not the player you get back is worth the max. For example, if you think Lillard is--you trade the two and make use of the extra 14 million for a couple years--then give Lillard the max.

Getting out of Rose's contract has to be seen as a plus, at this point, assuming you get a foundation part back in return.

This form a purely basketball standpoint. My heart would never let me trade him, nor would the fan reaction.

It's without him a lot anyway for how much he gets hurt.

C'mon man, got to separate the GM and Fan hats.

Maybe some of us have more belief in our team. Selling out comes easy I guess, for the thirsty.

Love would take the pressure off Rose for scoring that's for sure if we got him.

And nobody is trading for Rose with that contract he has and his history of knee problems.

Just pray he's healthy and passing the ball more to his teammates.

Yes, because telling a veteran in the last year of his deal that he won't be amnestied unless it's for a star but doing so anyway because it significantly improves your team is the same as telling a rookie to buy out his contract, move across the world with wife & new baby, and then dealing him. indeed.

Note: I'm not advocating not trading Mirotic, for Love I would deal him, but equating these two is ludicrous. Like equating telling your kids there is a Santa Claus with perjury in court. Hey - Both are untrue statements, must be the same thing!!!

I’m still hoping for a scenario where Bulls can land Kevin Martin for Dunleavy and scraps.

And the Cavs get gutted near New York style trading for Love.

If Lebron gets what Lebron wants, let's hope he gets Love at literally all costs.

Exactly. We get that, we'll be fine. Cleveland won't come close to the defensive juggernaut Miami was.

I haven't been keeping up completely, so what would the scraps be? We would need Snell's salary to make up the difference, wouldn't we? Dunleavey + Snell for Martin, would that be the idea?

What would really be great is Cavs have to gut their team for Love and then he winds up walking in a year or two and leaves them with nothing. Windhorst said the other day he doesn't think Love signs an extension anywhere until he hits free agency. We'll see.

'Our team' was ready to 'sell out' for Carmelo Anthony, he slammed the door in their face.

Support the jersey, the faces come and go. Like that guy Mitch, he followed a face, when the face went back to NY so did he. If some of our player move to a new team, my team is still the Bulls.

Loyalty has nothing to do with good player evaluation.

To be honest I don't even think this Cleveland team is as good as Miami. I asked this question yesterday with no answer how will they maximize Lebron's abilities? The guy wants to pass he always wants to pass that's why Miami always had him surrounded by 3pt shooters, but who are the shooters for cleveland really? The guys that they do have out there to shoot the 3 aren't really spot up specialist like he had in Miami and those guys aren't good defenders either so while they may hit a few FTs we have the size to throw them in the post with our wings who are all tall for their position. Cleveland with or without Love doesn't scare me at all.

I don't want to trade Dunleavy or Snell for Martin. Both are decent, and we need to be adding to our wing depth, not depleting it. Instead, I'd rather put off the trade until December 15.

1. Sign three 10-year vets to two-year unguaranteed vet min contracts. On December 15, that creates $4.5M in trade fodder. (I think that, because they are two-year contracts, their salary for purposes of trading them is their actual salary, which is $1.5M each.)
2. Roll with the current team until December 15.
3. On December 15, trade the $4.5M in unguaranteeds plus Bairstow (.5M) for Martin ($6.8M). We can take back 150% of the salary we send out, so the deal works.

Minn is just looking to get out from Martin's contract, so our deal should be pretty enticing. And I don't want to send out two decent wings to get one slightly-better (but not great) wing.

Lebron's decision was so easy.

It not like he has talent like a PG name Irving and a potential superstar as in wiggins to help him,

He needs MORE help cause if Lebron loses its always cause he don't have enough help
