why do they keep hitting him so low in the lineup, he's one of the best hitters in the Appalachian League

You beat me to it by a matter of seconds.

Dunno why he's hitting sixth, really; does seem odd that it costs him a PA every few days.

(Originally misread your post, so if this changes significantly that's why)

Gerry McDonald did an interview with someone in the organization (cant remember who it was off the top of my head) recently; and the comments given on Jansen weren't as exciting as you would expect for someone who was performing as well as he has. It may just have been me reading too much into it, but there was a lot of "he's a blue collar guy", "really hard worker" banter and not much in the way of praising tools and/or skills. It may be the case that he's outproducing what they think his ability is, which would also explain his batting order in the lineup.

15 BB and 17 Ks on the season with power and defense? Interesting!

Urena 2 for 5 with a triple and a double. Surprising extra-base power from him this year. Showing good contact skills, above-average defense...nice.

Hard to say. I mean, he's apparently built like a damned tank now, so they could be praising his commitment in that regard rather than damning with faint praise. Or it could be that he's doing well because, unlike his compatriots, he's built like a damned tank. Dunno.

Still, he's been one in the mental index since he was drafted, because quite a few draft heads were stating that he could be a major sleeper given his defense and potential with the bat, and he hasn't yet disabused me of any of those notions. And I do think that we might be putting too much credence in order position; I mean, Aaron Attaway is hitting second tonight, a night after Austin Davis occupied that position, and with all due respect to Messers Attaway and Davis, I don't think anyone's projecting them as impact bats.

Buffalo won on a walkoff single from Brett Wallace. They pick up another game on Indianapolis and close the WC gap to 3.5 on Rochester who lost today. The PawSox are tied in the 8th at the moment.

Jansen adds a line-drive single in the 9th. Tellez had a line-drive single as well, making him 2 for 4 on the night and raising his average up to .263. He's really been hitting in the past ~15-20 games.

Saw a tweet that Jimmy Cordero was running a fastball up to 104 MPH for Lansing tonight.

If he can get close to the level he was at last year, that's like the Jays adding a nice reliever at the deadline, minus the price tag (of course).

Who is this Hugh and what is he doing to Delabar that might be helping him get it together? Is he a large man?

You have to wonder whether AA was close to trading him; there could be more to the story than a minor injury.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

LOL

First it's Heavy ball, now it's Hugh. Delabar is our witch doctor of pitching techniques.

I don't think minor leaguers get taken out of games because they're part of serious trade talks, not for three days and definitely not position players. He's back in the lineup today, its clearly one of those injuries that's not bad enough to go on the 7 day DL but you still need a couple of days to heal.

And with it being a muscle injury, no one is going to gamble...couple days off won't hurt his development, but a serious strain might.
