I'm sure that Minnesota would like for the Sixers to eat one or both of Shved's and Barea's salaries, but it sounds like there's a good possibility that neither would be in the deal.

I dislike this trade if it goes down as reported. If we take back Barea and Shved AND give up Thad, I want more than just Bennett in return. Hopefully the picks are good

If the Sixers don't make this trade then what are the chances Thad re-signs with the Sixers next year? Do you think Hinkie wants Young back? Would Young want to be back?

I doubt you get more than Bennet+Barea for T. young. If you ask for a 1srt Flip say no and risk with Bennet

Barea and Shved combined are only 8m. CLE will be giving up 2 1sts in the deal I imagine, so just route the Miami one (or hopefully the Memphis one?!?) over and consider the cash eaten. Harris agreed to amnesty Brand for God's sake, don't know why he'd object to buying out a couple guys to get a decent 1st.

Which report? I saw Thad for Bennett, which is a fair swap. I saw a l lot of posters guessing that Shved and JJ could be involved, but nothing concrete that I can recall.

Which variation are you referring to?

Without Noel, we don't have a realistic offer, and I don't know that Hinkie or wolves would make that swap.

But seriously can't we do like a Cavs get Love, Sixers get Andy Wiggy, and the T'Wolves can fold cause no one gives a **** about Minnesota... fair?

The way the Cavs have treated this poor young canadian boy is a travesty. I'm about to call child protective services on Dan Gilbert. The bastard.

Yeah I misread the report. Thought it was Thad for Bennett/ Big Salary Dump / Picks. The actual rumor: Thad for Bennett and picks (potentially), is more fair

On a side note, can we trade our 2015 pick 15-30 protected, since it is traded to Boston 1-14 protected?

I think Thad for Bennett is fair straight up. I imagine if we get a first, we are taking back a contract.

Then again, Thad makes almost $10 mill, so I imagine we would get Bennett and another expiring.

After this trade the Wolves will have the Roster I wanted going into the draft.

Rubio is their MCW
Lavine
Wiggins
Thad
Pek is their Noel.

so close...and yet

It is a promising roster, however Pek is a Center, after watching Noel in SL I have my doubts he could ever have been a legitimate Center full time. When we were projected to draft Wiggins I was hoping during Noel's months upon months of rehab he would have added significant weight or at least bulk, however the fact that he didn't makes me question it having even been a possibility. I'm ecstatic that we now have a legit Center and we don't need to rely upon Noel adding size, rather he can just play PF and take advantage of his quickness and springiness.

Did anybody receive a call from the 76ers recently? If so what is it about? Sorry to derail but a representative just left a message while I was working and I figured I get a quick response here.

Well...Pek isn't really the same thing as Noel. And if you looked at both rosters in 3 years, the Sixers will have replaced Thad in your lineup with Embiid, LaVine in your lineup with a top 10 pick in 2015, and Wiggins in your lineup with a top level free agent SF (maybe even KD?).

So I'll take the Sixers lineup every day.

I just meant in terms of filling the center spot.

But Adding Wiggins and Lavine PLUS the top15 pick (which would easily be a bigman) seems better to me.

also lets get this out of the way now

KD isn't coming here. It's OKC, Washington and maybe Toronto. I want people to stop getting this idea that KD or any high profile talent will come here just like that. Even if Embiid and Noel are legit..they will still be virtually unproven by then as we probably won't have made the playoffs by then.

any future lineup that has KD (or FA STAR) apart of it is super dumb IMO. OKC and Washington will be better win now spots than we will be..barring Embiid being that great from jump and leading us to playoffs success right away (he won't...Embiid is a great prospect but guys..he will need time to develop..,..lots of time). KD or this hypothetical FA will only leave their current spots to WIN RIGHT NOW.

so just stop before you guys fall.

By chance, do you own a 2nd round pick in the 2015 draft?

If so, I think I know why they called.
