I'm also starting to wonder how good Toliver is at the corner three. If he is good, I could see Hornacek starting Toliver at the three for the games Tucker is out. We take a hit defensively, but we would anyway, with whoever we start there, save Tucker.

I would rather see Marcus Morris get that burn, bc I expect he is gonna struggle to crack the rotation when the suns are at full capacity.

The Suns have too many players who need to play, depending on what you think of Archie, MarcMo, and TJ the Rabbit Warren.

Archie has alot of work to do to earn his way into the regular rotation. Warren easily moved ahead of him just based on what he did in summer league. If Warren can hit that midrange jumper consistently, Archie has no chance.

TJ Warren is one of the most NBA ready players from this draft and I`d be shocked if he doesn`t play 20-25 minutes per upcoming season. He should start those 3 first games at SF, of course.

I don’t understand why Bledsoe wouldn’t want to play here.

-The weather is great. Lots of NBA players rave about the city of Phoenix. Sure it’s not as nice as LA, Miami, or San Diego, but it’s 100x better then pretty much anywhere else including shitholes like Detroit, Cleveland, and Minnesota. Blesdoe isn’t from Santa Monica or Hollywood. He is from Alabama. He can’t view Phoenix as a bad city.

-It’s HIS team. He doesn’t have anyone else keeping him from being the man. Yes, Dragic was our best player last year, but Bledsoe was out for half the season. With a full season, Bledsoe could become our best player. Since Dragic plays the 2 and Bledsoe plays the 1, Blesdsoe can dominate the ball.

-The system benefits him. In addition to being the man, Bledsoe will play in a up tempo system that will boost his stats. He can average more points, assists, etc in our system which will increase his chances of getting awards and recognition.

-He has help. The Suns are loaded with young talent and potential. We’ve got guys that will give him help, yet won’t stop him from shining.

Why wouldn’t Bledsoe want to play here?

-It can’t have anything to do with the city.

-Perhaps he doesn’t like the multiple guard system and views Dragic as a threat?

-He won’t average more points anywhere else. Unless of course he thinks Dragic is going to steal his shine as mentioned above. The addition of IT may be a threat to his stats in the short run, but we wouldn't have acquired IT if Bledsoe had already signed with us.

-He wants to play with his friends? But does he have any friends other then D-bag Lebron who is using him as a pawn?

As we have all speculated before, it’s gotta be about the money.

But Bledsoe can get pissed off all he wants abut the Suns not offering the 4/60 that another team supposedly offered. That mystery team NEVER officially offered him a contract for us to match. Our 4/48 is very fair and Bledsoe may find that his value is actually less next year on the open market where teams don’t have to overpay to try to steal a player away from a restricted situation.

If he takes the qualifying offer over a 4/48 deal from us, he is incredibly stupid as he is taking a HUGE risk with injury. Even if he doesn’t get injured, playing in a 3 guard PG rotation with Dragic and now IT sure won’t help his numbers in the short term. He risks losing some statistical bragging rights and hurting his value.

It makes absolutely zero financial sense to turn down 4/48 and accept a one year deal at the QO. Very high risk and very low reward. He’d have to do it out of spite. :banghead:

I think Monroe is an idiot as well. His risk for injury is less, but Detroit could move him to the bench to give more burn to J. Smith at the 4. Monroe could see his time on the court cut significantly and if that happens, he'd be lucky to get 8-10 mil per year.

Both these guys should take a 50 mil deal and shoot for a max contract after they have at least ONE all star selection to brag about.

Maybe Detroit and Phoenix can help eachother?

We offer Monroe 4/48

Detroit offers Bledsoe 4/48

We both intend to match if the player accepts.

if Bledsoe won't accept the Suns' offer of 4/48, i don't know why he would accept Detroit's

I'd usually be excited about the schedule release day but with the Bledsoe uncertainty, I just don't care.

I wonder if Monroe actually goes through with signing the QO, if Detroit will go after Bledsoe. It would make sense for them. I think they would have about $13 million in cap space but they could probably dump someone like Luigi Datome by offering a 2nd round pick (to Philly or something) if they need to and get close to max room.

Edit: Nevermind, I just realized the total Detroit Salaries I was looking at were not including Monroe's QO which would only leave them with about $7.5 million in capspace.

Lukas.... Phnx isn't all that. There is something eerily disturbing about moving to a desert when you are used to greenery everywhere. I moved from AZ 25 yrs ago, and do not think i could live there again. There are many cities just as appealing....think of the off season... wouldn't you want to spend a good portion of it at home, after being on the road for 8 months ? Off season = june july august september.... thats almost evacuation time

That said... its still all about money.
What ? Me Worry ?

The #Suns will open the regular season at home against the Lakers on Oct. 29. They open the season at home for the fourth consecutive year.

The #Suns have 6 TNT games and 4 ESPN games after being picked for none and one, respectively, last year. Includes Lakers @ home on MLK Day.

We have recover some respect around the league, great.

We play Minnesota, Washington, Chicago and Dallas on ESPN, and the Lakers, Portland and Houston on TNT. The ESPN match ups aren't too exciting, but the TNT ones should be good.

Washington game should be quite good I think. Wall/Beal/Miller against Dragic/Bledsoe/Thomas? maybe we'll see Kieff abuse the honorary Kardashian.

I'll be glad to see Washington and Chicago since we only play them a couple of times a year. Dallas should be a solid game, and maybe we can see some Warren vs Wiggins a bit. Maybe even LaVine vs Goodwin if we are blowing them out.

It amazes me the Lakers continue to be on that much.

I can see it now twitter exploding, ESPN hyping Kobe debut vs Suns.

With no PJ Tucker Kobe could go off with fresh legs.
PJ first game back will be vs Lakers

good eye test to see the difference with the team off/on PJ
