Too bad Lithuania can't defend as a team.

Didn't time the block well a couple possessions ago too when the Slovenian guard had a reverse lay-up. It's one thing he has to work on.

Agreed. He used to use his mobility/quickness to compensate for reacting a bit late, but now he can't anymore. At least he's going for them now, unlike with the Raptors last year.

Jonas might be able to improve his rotations to cut off driving lanes, but at this point I can't see him being a rim-protector-type who's contesting/altering/blocking a lot of shots. Just don't think he has the instincts and athleticism for it.

He already has the stats backing up his ability to protect the rim. Someone had a good thread about it during the regular season. It's not elite but he's pretty good at it. He just doesn't get a ton of blocks and occasionally will miss a block attempt that he definitely should have had.

I don't care about him getting a ton of blocks per se, but whether he's bothering shots or deterring them (forcing passes out).

Pocius blocked that, not JusKEHViCHus. Not JuskeVEESHEEus. It's getting really annoying, and I don't even speak Lithuanian.

So, how about them substitutions? Some Dwane Casey-like coaching, letting the opponent's momentum go for too long before doing something about it.

There's those TOs again.

Not sure I understand why Lithuania is so panicked to score when they have better scoring balance and options than Slovenia. They should be grinding this out.

Ridiculous to call two loose ball fouls in a row.

First one was a legitimate foul, second one was BS.

That's the first step to an irrational dislike for JV himself :noway:

No legs for Slovenia. Lithuania just needs to keep pounding it inside.

Lavrinovic brothers have really played well this 4th quarter. Good mobility to defend the P&R, swarm, and then grab the rebounds.

Slovenia with the Raptors patented 4th quarter collapse.
