There is obviously more to this situation than what has been released to press..

The email by itself is bad, but its no where near bad enough to be forced to sell team.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a case of he already on the fence about selling and this pushing him over the edge.

He would obviously get some negative feed back if he stayed on but be honest, he could spend some money on a media campaign and start a charitable foundation along with some other community healing exercises and within a year or two this would be water under the bridge.

The hawks would look good in Vancouver

He didnt take anything far. Go read the Woj article I posted. Adam Silver and the players have created a huge mess. Actions have consequences. Players wanted the owner out and now, its about to get a whole lot deeper then just owners. It's gonna start impacting what players say to.

He was trolling. If he wasnt, why would he contradict himself and say he support whatever Adam Silver is doing?. You agree with Cuban but against the decision of silver?. A clear contradiction.

Im not gonna read that article. I dont need somebody else's opinion to form mine. If I had to follow someone then I would follow the rest of the players who feels like they shouldnt have him here in the NBA. You can replace owners but you cannot replace a Lebron.

You are turning this into a political issue when it is not. Players and the NBA community did not want him here therefore he should be gone. It is as simple as that. You can talk about what could happen and try to turn this into something else. It doesnt matter. The bigger picture here is the stability of the NBA and how to further its brand. Getting rid of sterling is the best way to do it according to silver and the rest of the league.

Smh at how ignorant some of you are. He generalized a group of people based on their skin color. Black people don't all act alike, have the same interests, react the same to advertisements etc.

This guy basically said hire more white cheerleaders and bring in more white fans because they're white and lose black cheerleaders and some fans because they're black. He enforced systematic racism throughout his company. **** disgusting.

He said nothing wrong. I said this earlier in the thread as well. Only white people can be racist in todays society, no other minority. I'm a minority for the record but I don't believe in ethnicities or races.

I believe we have humans, that's about it. Color and all that other stuff is irrelevant to me because it has no purpose in the bigger picture. Money and power don't have a color.

I think he wants to sell because right now franchise values are inflated beyond belief after the Clippers sale.
He's smart and figures that he might as well fess up, sell my stake while it's high and probably as high as it will ever be (with the new CBA op-ex will go high with all the payroll for salaries I guess) and never look back.
The email literally had no chance of being leaked...it's like Larry Tanenbaum leaking any other email he sends to Peddie. I guess it could have hacked or leaked, but not that likely..

Before there's anymore misinterpretation here, Levensen presented his statement in a way that can be seen as racist, but all you have to do is actually read what he wrote to see it's anything but. If there's anything that he's shown any hatred towards it's for white people being racist. The most primary example is how he hears that the Phillips Arena is dangerous as an excuse on why people don't go to games, even though there's no evidence of it, and dismisses it as racial garbage. He thinks white people are scared away by black people, and thinks they should address this issue by trying to cater towards white people. That's not being racist, he's just addressing a demographic to increase their revenue.

If he was racist he would have purposely given all those free tickets away to white communities just because they're white, but he didn't. He gave them to predominantly black communities.

You can believe what you want but racism is ingrained into society whether we like it or not. Look at what we do/done to First Nations ppl in Canada for ex.
