Wouldve been nice to get a TD there, offense looked good on that drive though

Hate FG's instead of TD's, but we are up 3-0. Defense playing pretty solid right now, and need to keep it up. Points will be hard to come by today for either team.

Playing without Hardy is tough, but I understand why the Panthers had to deactivate him. Lots of public pressure right now to be proactive as a team and act.

Man, we needed that stop on 3rd and 4. Ebron is a solid TE and a good target. Defense needs to come up with another strong stand as the Lions are moving. Getting into the red zone, but a huge hit by Cole helps. 3rd and 8. Need a stop! Drop by Calvin Johnson which is a rarity. Another missed FG! Yes!

Long 53 yard FG makes it 6-0 Panthers. But FG's are not good. Detroit can hit quick for a TD and all of a sudden they are in the lead. We need TD's. Alright defense, time to do it again. 1:11 left in the first half.

3rd and 10 at their 35 and a great stop! 4th and only 25 seconds. Unless we get a huge return, let's hit the locker room with the lead and we get the ball first to start the 2nd half.

Klein had the pick and it went through his hands and the tip caught by Ebron. First and goal for the Lions. We get FG's and they get a TD. Now we are behind. This is why we cannot settle for FG's. 7-6 Lions.

I have to leave for a prior commitment at the end of the 3rd qtr. Man, I hate missing the end of this one. Just hope Cam and the guys can get the lead before I leave.

2nd time we have a blown assignment and someone gets to Cam untouched. Big 15 yard loss. After a couple good completions, to be in 3rd and 25 is impossible. Have to punt Detroit deep and hope defense can make a stand. Good return to the 26 so we were unable to pin them deep. Got a bad bad feeling.

1st and goal again. Need a TD this time! 4th sack today. Front line having trouble today. Now at the 14. TD JAson Avant! Panthers take the lead back 13-7.

Lion's fan here. I thought this would be a much more competitive game. Your defense is solid. Especially along the line. I thought with Hardy out we'd have much more time to throw and room to run. Unfortunately, I wouldn't use this game as a gauge for the Panthers. This Lions team is pretty awful. Similar to what the Lions did in beating an inferior Giants team last week, you beat an inferior Lions team this week.

Kelvin Benjamin is going to be a stud. And I was glad to see Stewart get a chance in the backfield after so many injuries. Panthers should be a playoff team, anything less would be a disappointment for you guys. Good luck to ya.

We're also on top of the division and our biggest competition (NO) is 0-2

Thanks for stopping by with your thoughts. I was worried when we had to settle for FG's early, but the defense played their butts off today. That was a great win against a pretty good Lions team. Do not downplay your Lions, they are still good.

Looking ahead to next week, Pittsburgh has struggled defending the run so far this year, allowing an average of 170 rushing ypg and a per carry average over 5.

They almost blew their week 1 game against the Browns after being up 27-3 at the half by being outscored 24-3 in the 2nd half, and they couldn't get the ball in the endzone at all against the Ravens on Sunday. 3 FG and no TD in their last 6 quarters played, their defense hasn't been able to come up with a TO through the first 2 games either.

I think they will really struggle against our defense, if we run it down their throats and take care of the football on offense I think we may be cruising to another victory in week 3.

I think Carolina takes this one around the same score as yesterday. I really liked what I saw from Cam in his first game back and he might not still be 100 percent.

The sad part is Pittsburgh will have more fans than us at BoA. Hopefully they go home sad.
