here is the stuff, to see his moves etc.

fall is not included.

14:52 – On that closeout he literally just has to shuffle out and not jump. With that length he’s got his number once he learns to stay down.

On a side note that's some pretty impressive jumping ability off of two feet while closing out. You can definitely tell he's a volleyball player.

Tweener, stuck between a three and a four. His best bet is to get bigger and stronger and become a stretch four

You can definitely notice the potential to be a valuable 3 and D guy. He clearly needs experience with Screen and pick and roll D. but his rotations are usually there and his man D is pretty good. The language barrier poses a problem because you can see his team mates call out to him or try and communicate to him and he sometimes is lost on rotations or offensive plays, but thats not a big deal at all. His english has already improved since summer league, the kid must work his tail off.

He has alot of confidence too, and i think he is beginning to fit in with his team mates. I didnt know if anyone else noticed it in the OKC game, but when bruno hit that step-back three and his mini fade/turn around akward shot, pretty much the entire bench got up. Its really re assuring to see.

people do need to realize he is VERY young, and is not quite ready for consistent minutes. most times i feel like he is a turnover waiting to happen and everytime he gets the ball it seems that he just wants to shoot or take his man. Which appears to be very easy to read for the defensive so far. Its going to take time for this to work out.

Last thing, has anyone watched Draft day? basically kevin costner drafts a player first overall because it was a player he wanted all along, even thoughhe could have gotten him later in the draft. Reminded me of Bruno and Masai. Its pretty awesome that masai can just go against the grain and trust his scouting/gut

That unorthodox play by Bruno yesterday was assuring. He gets criticized for his ball-handling, but its more about ball protection(more athletic players in NBA), and not being decisive (that turnover passing in transition). If Bruno can replicate DD's work ethic............you know what im gonna say

I don't like the fact that he camps out in the corner waiting for the ball..

I know it's not based on injury, but he'd have 0 NBA experience.

BTW, is Nerlens Noel considered to be in the 2nd year of his contract?

Noel will be considered a rookie, just like Blake was after he sat out his first year and won ROY the next.

Yeah I, too, hate it when guys with limited skills who are good shooters look for the most efficient shots in basketball.

I think the work ethic is definitely there. He's already shown improvement since we first saw him in summer league and I'm glad he opted to skip the FIBA World Cup this summer and practice with Demar and the other guys instead. While DD may lack some of the natural fluidity of guys like Kobe, his work ethic is always there and he's an ideal role model for a young prospect like Bruno. Bruno is 2 years away from the starting spot if he keeps working like he has so far.

by and far exceeded my expectations, excuse my ignorance but i expected an athlete, a physical speciman the raptors planned into shaping into a baller. He has shown he is much more advance than that. He has bball iq, which you cannot teach and apprently all the personal/physical traits needed to improve succeed. Worth ethics, coachability, wants to play d etc etc.

While Bruno has a great work ethic, what's even more critical to his development is how quick he's learning. The kid is a sponge, throw something basketball at him and he absorbs every single ounce of it. It's strikingly similar to Joel Embiid last year with Kansas, who was literally improving game by game.

I don't think Bruno will be anything more than a high end 3+D player in the mold of Trevor Ariza last year (which would be awesome to have), but with his ability to pick things up so quickly and internalize it there's an outside hope that he'll be more than that.

I didnt expect much out of Bruno, but he is definitely not 2 years away from being 2 years away. He is about 2 years away from being a solid contributor at this rate. He has made significant strides from Summer League. Masai was right in that Bruno has to stay around and not overseas so the Raptors can personally develop him into the player they want him to be. Just being around these guys has paid off for Bruno thus far.

Ariza has being in the league for 10 years, and I don't think he has made that step back 3 once yet alone as 19 year old. He also was not 3point shooter until 6-7 years into his career.

Bruno shows much more promise as offensive player at this stage of his career.
