HOLY $#@%!!! I thought we had no chance.
This all goes to show(AGAIN) the difference between NBA rumor and NBA fact. This may have been in the best interest of many of the teams, but it was clearly NOT in the best interest of many of the teams as well, and that is why you count the votes.

Seems like a lot of teams with new school GM/management and a lot of very successful, outside the mediocrity box thinking teams voted with us.

It was blatantly unfair to implement this over such a short time frame. You want to do it 3 years from now, cool.
Should lock us in for a Top 3 pick you would think.

Re: NBA likely to vote on changing draft odds next month
Zach Lowe has tweeted that they COULD revisit this later this season so perhaps we aren't completely out of the woods yet, but the thought of doing it before the 2015 draft seems less and less likely.
I really can't imagine them deciding in the middle of the season to change the rules for the current season, but who knows?

There were 17 yes votes, but it's hard to believe Silver didn't make sure he had the support before putting the proposal before the board.

More or less the teams I identified yesterday. Good to see them come to their senses (or just that people were only assuming before that they would vote yes).

I'm so pumped about this. Why it will be fun watching Noel, MCW, and KJ this year, I had a lot of fun rooting for losses last year. If the reform passed, wins and losses would have been somewhat irrelevant (since we are pretty guaranteed to be in the bottom 4 and it would not matter where we were within that). Season would have been less fun if it passed.

This year we don't HAVE to get one of the top 3 picks, but last year we did. The dynamic will be different this year because of that. I will just assume that we will get the 4th pick now and be pleasantly surprised if we get a higher one.
The difference between 4th and 7th on its own is big.

Oh yeah, last year was definitely the most important year. That said, if you're going to be bad (and boy are we), might as well be the worst.

You think anyone can catch us?? Will the Bucks be much improved?

You never know with injuries, but we are definitely the worst team on paper.

I'm not familiar enough with how the board of governors works, but I would assume nothing gets on the agenda without commissioner's sign off. Now maybe he could have been like "we're not taking a position on this." Don't know.
