Ivanovic is banned.

I hope it's

Schurrle
Brown-Baker-Salah
Mikel-Ramires (if fit)
Ake-Zouma-Cahill-Christensen
Cech

but like treiz said, I expect maybe Ake and Christensen to start and no more.

Disappointed that we aren't going to play the ones involved in the U21 match because they are really good. Atmosphere will be crazy, but Shrewsbury is the ideal opponent talent-wise.

probably not really anything new to anyone, but some reports speculating that Costa will eventually need surgery to repair his hamstring. hopefully he can hang on until summer. wouldnt be the worst idea, though, to bring in another striker in January just in case, either a recall of Bamford or a short-term hired gun. I don't think we can survive 6 weeks with Drogba and Remy if Costa was forced to have surgery during the season.

Should have taken the surgery right after the Arsenal game. It's a shame that Remy got injured because I think he's good enough. In the meantime, I'd like to see Schurrle tried up front more. I just like the idea of it more than anything.

Put Christensen/Zouma in Iva's place, how did I forget about that suspension? lol

Wouldn't be surprised if Ramires plays one half at RB, and take him off for Christensen.

looks like we can at least confirm 5 who will play

Shrewsbury is not a friendly. We have to play matches with respect and the best way to respect Shrewsbury is to go there with a good team. Not to go there with a weak team and lose. It is to go there with a good team –if they win, they win, but they win against a good team. We are in a difficult situation with regards to today but, when you look at the players who didn’t play – Schürrle, Salah, Zouma, Aké, Mikel – these boys are obviously going to have to play.
Source: Guardian.

however, we all expected those 5 as they were probably the easiest to pick. its the other 5 outfield guys that will be interesting - either the 1st team guys or the reserve guys.

Schurrle's not been much better, but the more I watch Salah, the more I'm convinced he's not Chelsea-level. All his minutes should have gone to Boga.

i couldnt bring myself to do a twitter blackout on NBA opening day, not with Jordan taking over the Hornets twitter account.

Anyway, sounds like a real horror show out there. I might have to just fast forward the 1st half when i get home

wont be surprised at all to see salah loaned out next year and never make it back to 1st team. too many good youngsters competing for minutes at his spot. at least one of them will beat him out with the way he has looked so far.

I'd take Moses over him at this point

Fabregas is now up to 9 assists in 10 league games.

Interestingly, the top assisters in the PL last season were Gerrard (13) and Rooney/Suarez with 12 apiece.

He's absolutely phenomenally creative, much more so than before he left for Spain.

I always rated him but right now he's shining more than I ever anticipated.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The team is looking good. I don't see how we could/would lose the title this year. We are doing great and everyone else is very inconsistent.

Definitely one of, the mans a brick wall.

You just don't go to his side, he's never really had a bad mistake or been caught out much ever since Mourinho came back. When teams have success on his side it's because he's been left isolated in a 2 or 3 on 1 occasion.

Kind of took a break from Vitesse due to all the BS that's been happening, they play now and it seems to be the exact same story. Wallace and Traore haven't gotten visibly better, Traore has a long way to go. Figure Ibarra or Labyad would play in his place if it wasn't for the Chelsea relationship. Wallace is alright but I still don't see a future for him at Chelsea.

ALso, you guys are winning the Premier League lol, only actual good team right now.

Loan policy has been a mess this season. Only Moses and Bertrand are regularly playing (at a high level), and those two will be sold.
