I'm a NYC resident; I love living here.

Still, in the spirit of this thread:

1. The majority of that "woman getting catcalled" viral video was filmed in my neighborhood. No, it's not that exaggerated: the city is safer than ever, but my wife still deals with knuckleheads during her daily commute. That's how male Knicks fans treat women.
2. Public urination is a real, present situation. Usually, you only know of its presence from its signature bouquet, but occasionally you see the peeing in real time. This is how Knicks fans relieve themselves.
3. There is no worse stench in life than the empty subway car in an otherwise packed train. Whoever generated, vomited, or excreted the substance creating that noxious odor is a Knicks fan.
4. Knicks fans are still waiting 2 hours in line for cronuts (don't believe the hype: that line isn't entirely comprised of tourists).*
5. Speaking of subways, teenage Knicks fans like to engage in pole-spinning capoeira routines on crowded trains to raise money. They claim the money is for their youth basketball team, but it's really to buy scalped Knicks tickets. Some try to swing from bar-to-bar like Al Quaeda trainees. All of them are willing to risk kicking strangers in the face just to guilt passengers into kicking in a few bucks. Knicks fans, all of them.
6. Knicks fans think Iman Shumpert is a star in the making.

* Jokes aside, cronuts are worth the hype. For real, though. They're amazing.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

I live in Westchester but work in Brooklyn, I agree with the catcalling bit but some jokers are really disrespectful. On numerous occasions I'll be walking in the city with my girlfriend and they'll call to her...with me standing right there! I could even be holding her hand. Real brazen sh*t! I'm by no means a big dude, but well built at 5'9 185. I just ignore it. There was one occasion though where I caught a dude reaching out to grab her hand after his "hey baby" call. I grabbed it instead and then used my other hand to choke slam him against a glass pane. He lifted his hands real quick "Woah woah dude I didn't know she was with you"

I do qualify as a "big dude" (I'm built like a lineman); I'm enough of a visual deterrent that I haven't yet experienced someone hollering at my wife while she's walking with me. But it certainly wouldn't surprise me if someone tried: "Knicks fans" are brazen.

That's why you always have to have feces-filled balloons at the ready in NYC. If there are no women around, they'll paw at a blind, one-legged old man. Anything to keep from being alone with their Knicks fandom.

I salute the two of you for bravely contending with such cretinous cads.

Well really hate the Mods in Chicago and NYKs but I have posted on this board try to be polite if I don't agree.
I got banned on Chicago board for basically saying Wall is a better PG than Rose.
Toronto Mods overall are tolerant but I know some of our posters go too far part of having over 700 active members. Good luck till you play the Raptors still have you finishing 3rd behind Cleveland & Raptors and 48 wins.

Looking forward to that game.

NY is a good test of the Wizards. If they win tonight, they keep this train rolling 3-1. Then they get IND which should be easier. Then off the TOR for the show down. Should be a good test. A win in TOR would be huge.

Hopefully we are 5-1 after that game and top 2-3 in the East.

This is the insults and trolling thread, cammac. You're always welcome to drop a clever and witty bomb here at any time.

But when the Wizards/Raptors game comes up, I expect you and that big horde of Raptor posters to descend on this board like a swarm of Biblical-era locusts. I hope you'll encourage your colleagues to both visit the main game thread (for calm discussion of the game) and this thread for some friendly, witty (sometimes not-so-witty) banter.

And in the spirit of this thread:

Canada = USA lite.

Good luck with the season. Raptors have a nice, fun squad.

Canada (getting ahead of myself) - a country that had the opportunity to have
the culture of France, the govt of Great Britain and the industry of the US.
Instead they got the govt of France, the industry of GB and the culture of the US.

In honor of doc -- (from the googles).

Q: Why do Indiana University grads put their diplomas on their dashboard?

A: So they can park in the handicapped spaces.

--------------------

If you're an Indy fan and have somehow wandered here, this is the trolling and insults thread. Fire your most witty, biting (bonus points for funny) shots at the Wizards this way. It's a safe place to do so...we welcome it.

Have at it!

Pine

I think with a change in title, you can get some action in your thread with this Toronto game coming up.

I've changed the title for the last few games in a row. What would make anyone think that I wasn't gonna do it for the Toronto game. We love the visiting hordes of lonely Canadians posting from their mom's basements.

Was gonna do it this morning. Thank you. Indy game just ended 11 hours ago.

If you're a Raptor fan checking in for a game thread...FAH, get one up....welcome to the Wizards board.

Use this thread for your best insults and trolling. You don't get suspended, banned, etc (except for the really bad stuff - posting porn, racist stuff, etc).

But we DO value wit. Biting, funny insults and trolling. Drop your best efforts here and know that if you give it, you'll get it back as well. But it's all good, right?

Anticipate this thread getting lots of play, since you guys (Raptor fans) tend to descend on other boards like a Biblical swarm of hungry locusts. So -- all of you -- have at it. Give it your best shot. I mean something really smart, witty. (e.g., the opposite of "Toronto in 4").

And again, welcome.

.

And to show that there will never be hard feelings with our friends from Canada, I'd like to propose a trade -- RealGM style.

You guys send over Rachel McAdams and we'll send you Sarah Palin. If necessary, we'll also think about sending over some "cash considerations". Or Rosanne Barr. Whichever you want.

Thanks in advance,

Pine

Toronto's local government makes D.C.'s look sane and reasonable.

But I love Raptor fans. They were funnier when the team was garbage though.
