Humphries finally looked right this game. Guessing his hand is feeling better. He's a rugged player, I like him.

Porter also played well. I think you give Pierce more time, he's still adjusting. But if he can't find his game, you have to think about starting Porter sooner rather than later.

Bunch of dead legs out there tonight, I guess that Indy game took more out of us than I realized. We missed FTs. Missed open jumpers. And missed a lot of layups. Blegh.

We need to avoid a slow start. Randy is going to have to be proactive with the rotations to keep the hot hands playing until Beal gets back and we can set our line ups. Pierce should get the chance to work through his struggles. But Porter needs more minutes.

Wiz must have been partying in Toronto last night.
Makes sense since only Miller and Humphries showed up. Miller is too old to go to the club and word is Humphries likes to stay in, put on "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen, and cry to photos of Kim K as he reaches for the lotion on the bedside table (surprisingly enough, this is also monte's late night routine).

BTW, anybody else see Rice get into it with Wittman on the sideline? He might be in the doghouse now.

I saw something. It didn't look that heated, but it did look like Rice shot his mouth off a bit. WTF is he thinking?

Good game Wizards (well, it wasn't really). My apologies in advance for the Raptors trolls coming here. I'll leave you all some And1s as compensation.

Whats funny is that he was +3 on the court in his few minutes, lol.

Oh and **** Randy.

You are a much better team than showed up tonight.
Good luck tomorrow just cheer against you when you play the Raptors.
Bad night everyone has one we had ours against Miami :banghead:

Eh, we've beat some bad teams so I'm not sure if our nuts really should be fluffed....I thought we bricked a fair amount of open looks in the 1st half, but really the defense was a bit surprising. You guys are great, I still think the ceiling is contingent on what happens with Val. If he becomes a 18-11 guy or something like that, you guys could make a run at the 2nd best record in the east. I think like us though, you guys need a defensive backup center. Small ball is nice, but psycho t and Patterson isn't the biggest lineup ever.

Whoa! Take a chill pill WWTD. I'm not liking it any more than you are, but I got two grandparents from Canada. You gonna punch them?

What would CCJ do? Just let them play and see if they take any lessons away from this game.

Monte, I have a lot of thoughts but since I missed the game I don't want to start any arguments.

My only concern is that the Wizards are a very veteran team. They might not have athletic players relative to other teams. They have to impose their physical play and veteran guile. Also, older players have to keep the respect of young guys. If the Wizards lose more games the morale will go south.

Just one game in a long season. The record is 4-2, not 2-4. Stay tuned.

Yes your schedule has been favorable you will improve with Beal back and Porter looks good. Jonas needs 12 touches a game and his hand back he can put up 16PPG 12 RPG & 1.5 BPG if he gets 32 minutes a game. His defense is greatly improved still more improvement needed.

Raps fan here.

Well, you guys have a better team than the one that showed up tonight. Sometimes teams have great games, and sometimes teams lay a stinker. We had a great game, and you had a stinker. It happens. I'm looking forward to the next game when we meet. I'm sure it will be much better.

Kind of bland, much smaller than I expected, and it was over in like 20 seconds. Dinner was nice.

I think we've largely avoided the slow start a lot of us saw coming after the Beal injury simply by gutting out gritty wins against bad/flawed teams. We haven't gotten rolling yet. Pierce is still adjusting. Nene doesn't look right. Gortat has had a little trouble finding his game. The bench players have been uneven. The defense hasn't settled in yet.

We've had various individuals step up and will us to wins, but we haven't really played a good game as a team yet. Not against any worthy opponents.

And we're probably not going to start rolling until Beal gets back. Until then, we're going to have to keep digging out those wins against the teams we can't afford to lose to. Try and keep that win % at or above 60% and we will be in really good shape.

Yeah just re-watched the portion of the game. Looked like Rice didn't hustle back on defense on the previous play off a turnover by Andre Miller. BTW Rice was doing a good job staying in front of Lou Williams.

I know you guys play much better than you showed today. Wiz came out flat, couldn't really get anything going. When is Beal coming back? If he played today I could see him killing us

Agree with that, but young players need to know that hustle and playing hard doesn't mean immune to criticism or having nothing to learn. Hopefully it's just a bad reaction during a blowout.

Why did the Wiz stop going to Nene and Gortat? There was no inside-out game whatsoever. Nene always plays well against the Raptors.
