Brewer is a horrible shooter, I don't see any reason why we'd have interest in him. He's a career 29% shooter, he's simply not a fit in our frontcourt

No interest in Brewer.
Pistons should do whatever's required to get a player like Reggie Jackson. The guy has all the potential to become the real deal. I think that he can be the #2 option on a very good team.

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
I'm not sure if the numbers work but
Pistons trade: Andre Drummond, DJ Augustin, 2nd
Pistons receive: Jimmy Butler (4/70 deal)
Why for Detroit? We get the athletic wing scorer that we desperately need and choose Greg Monroe over Andre Drummond to man the C spot. Jennings/KCP/Butler/Smith/Monroe is a well balanced team with shooting and defense.
Bulls receive: Kevin Martin, Shabazz , DJ Augustin
Bulls trade: Jimmy Butler, 2016 2nd
Why for Chicago? They decide not to max out Butler and instead trade him for a 18-20 ppg scoring SG on a reasonable contract in Martin, a backup PG who excelled for them a season ago and a solid young wing prospect in Shabazz who is on a rookie deal.
MN receives: Andre Drummond, 2016 Detroit & Chicago 2 round picks, TPE
MN trades: Kevin Martin, Shabazz
Why for MN? The commit to the rebuild, MN has Bennett/Wiggins at SF so they move Shabazz and clear out Martins salary and get a bigman with star potential in Andre and a pair of 2nds

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Are the Lakers interested in Josh Smith??? Heard one of their commentators talked about it during the game with Golden State???
Also, I was unaware Smith is on the trading block.. I knew we had talks awhile back about Sac-Town, but Smith and Roy Hibbert are on the trading block right now.

He was bashing the idea.. Something along the lines of "don't trade for Smith". haha.

Some posters are capable of having honest discussions about player’s potentials, others are not. It’s a shame to see that some of the “loudest” posts on this board are often times the most uniformed and uninsightful. There should be more to a discussion than “straight irrational clown ****. Jimmy butler for DRE? What are ya'll smoking? I'd like some please” . While I do often utilize the foe function for these types of posts, it would be nice if there was a more concerted effort to foster quality discussion on this board instead of posts such as this one that only negatively contribute to the board

Cleveland should be calling Indy for Hibbert. Waiters, Thompson and Haywood works on the trade checker.
LAL are horrid right now and could be desperate. Though would probably only offer Nash's expiring contract for him. We'd then have $36M in cap space this upcoming off-season. Of course cap space means little to us right now as a FA destination. I wonder if they realize no FA will want to sign on to play with Kobe on such a sad sack team need to trade for some talent.

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Jimmy Butler for Drummond?
IF you believe Butler can consistently create his own shot AND will sign a reasonable extension AND if you believe Drummond will never improve beyond what he was last season its still a stretch IMO
Drummond could be DeAndre Jordan II or he could be something more...either way that's a valuable commodity.
I for one don't think Butler would take a reasonable deal - he'll be looking at what Hayward abd Parsons got and asking for that

Great post, I agree.
There should be a locked sticky thread saying that Andre Drummond trade suggestions are not allowed unless it is for a young, true #1 option, shot creating, wing player... lmfao at least then we have something to discuss.

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Butler will likely be an all star this season and he will command a max contract which is reasonable for his production. He affects the game in multiple ways- first he's an elite defender, then he can score and he can shoot, he can create for himself and others and he can rebound (6 boards per game at SG!). He's a complete player and is only 25 years old- the idea that Drummond has considerably more value is Pistons homerism.

If your plan is to get Butler.....why trade Drummond for him?
All we'd have to do is offer him a large contract that the Bulls won't match in the offseason.

Who had the idea that Drummond has "considerably more value" than Butler?

Yeah, I think everyone would support that decision.

Re: The Trade Thread - v2
Monroe is gonna sadly leave us this summer. Why would he stay? Lol
No doubt he would accept a trade to OKC or GSW. And no doubt they would part with some of their young talent to acquire him.
Monroe for PJ3 and Steven Adams? Maybe they throw in a 1st?
Or the Warriors? Barnes and Speights and a 1st. Or we add Butler to match up with Iggys big contract. I dunno
Denver- Wilson Chandler and a 1st
All 3 teams would give us the starting 3 we need. It would be best to get back a bench big like Speights or Adams too.
Just throwin ideas out there cause our season is slippin the eff away from us lmao
