They'd never do that....not without adding Warren and Ennis, silly...

Then Love ends up back on a talentless team after that trade...It'd be like he never left Minny!

Kyrie

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

You would think Keef was absolutely mediocre reading some of this thread. In the entire NBA (min. 15 MP/G and 20 GP) he was #55 in WS/48 last year.

Team chemistry is through the roof right now. Any trade that goes through better be a damned steal.

I'm really thinking we may need to add a five drink maximum to the thread rules.

sunskerr wrote:Whats the price tag on Ryan Anderson? He's on a deal that looks amazing next Frye's and is a lot younger. Surely the Pelicans value him as stretch for AD or Asik. I'm sure the lineup has been said a million times here already but it makes a lot of sense and looks more competitive than what we have now:

Bledsoe
Dragic
Tucker
Anderson
Len

But I guess the trade pieces don't really add up with Markieff being a power forward and Anthony Davis being...well, Anthony Davis. They probably wouldn't need Thomas either with Jrue Holiday.

I'd expect the price tag to be on the higher end of the scale. He's basically their 6th man and his style fits well next to The Brow.

Definitely think Marc Gasol is available. If he's not, he will be soon. No way he'll want to stay in Memphis for the foreseeable future.

Grizzlies are ON FIRE.
But let's see how they are by May 2015...

Look at Pacers last season...

Its a no brainer that Grizzlies will max Marc Gasol, but so will every team with cap... Spurs look to be eyeing him and with Spurs system and reputation re-signing with Grizzlies is not a done deal yet... maybe a championship is the only way Marc Gasol definitely re-signs...

If Cavs are going to trade Love and if he gives a word he will sign with us, I would try that:

PHX:
in: Love, Amudson
out: Morris twins, Tolliver, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick

CLE:
in: Frye, Morris twins, filler, 1st pick
out: Love, Thompson, Amudson

ORL:
in: Thompson, Tolliver, 2nd pick
out: Frye

Phoenix finally get big star

Cleveland now uses Love only as 3pt shooter, they can also do that with Frye. They get Morris twins, good players for rotation

Orlando... Hmmm, nothing significant changes by them, they replace Frye with Thompson. Maybe they want to get picks.

C: Len, Plumlee
PF: Love, Amudson
SF: Tucker, Warren
SG, PG remains unchanged

seems like CLE could get more. wiggins and AB for morrises, tolliver, and a first sounds wretched

i'd be happy if the suns trade for Love tho if CLE wants to move him.

Replace the Morris twins with Horford and Ryan Anderson that would make the Suns a championship contender lol. Fixes the rebounding/inside banger issue and the 3pt big man specialist issue.

Dragic/Plumlee/Tolliver Lakers 1st for Horford. Makes sense for both teams. Well... sort of.

I think Len is untouchable unless a legit star big is coming back... Or Durant lol.

One of the key things McD and Hornacek mentioned on their scouting of Len is his rapid improvement from year to year...
Well this season he has shown leaps and bounds improvement over last season...
Like if he was consistent or atleast half consistent he would be a 12/7 big off the bench and that's tremendous.

Would love to see him continue his rapid improvement... The one glaring thing he needs is more strength so he doesn't flail around and so he can hold his position more which may help him avoid more fouls.

So I wouldn't put him on trade scenarios without the aforementioned conditions above.

It's almost certain one of Thomas/Bledsoe/Green/Dragic will be on the trade block...
Just purely due to team needs and usage issues down the line.

Regardless of what we do, who we trade, it is clear we do not have a finished playoff product in place. This three guard experiment must fail before we progress to the next level of competitiveness. Fail may not come on the court, but in the locker room. We may or may not hear about it.

If I am on the outside looking over our rooster... I would target Bledsoe over Dragic, mostly due to his contract. I would lowball Phnx on an offer for Goran and shy away from gunners Green and Thomas. Perhaps try to snare one of Ennis, Goodwin, or Warren in a package. I don't believe Len would be made available but I am asking. And vets Randolph, Plum, Tolly would just be salary filler. Tucker holds positive value, but alone will not bring in enough. Unsure about the MoBros' value right now.

I think Dragic needs to be loved else he will leave, and expect him to move on if no changes are made. He'll likely be diplomatic about it. I would not expect him to grumble excessively especially since he knows he has a guaranteed out and a new payday/environment on the way. He will be frank though, as he has already displayed. Surely the FO is beginning to realize this. I don't think we have the 'match whatever' leverage with him as we did with Bled. Can we go over the cap to retain him ?

Seems like the safe bet for us, is to keep Bled as it would be a serious set back to trade him, AND lose Dragic in free agency. But we can't deal Bled without the surety of resigning Dragic, but I do think trading Bledsoe would be a gesture Goran would recognize and appreciate. This was once 'his' team remember? This may evolve into a situation where Goran dictates the moves of the FO.

I wonder how long (or if) they pull the plug on this three ring circus.

If we truly want to commit to the Bledsoe+Dragic backcourt, im sold that we need to explore the acquisition of a more complementary (I.e. stretch) PF. Ryan Anderson, hell, even kick the tyres on Ilyasova. I'm sure a rebuilding team like the Bucks would entertain a dump for say Tolliver, cash and an average pick.

Even still, I can't see Bled and Dragic's stats rivaling last year with Thomas on board, because even if we tailor the starting lineup to accommodate them as dual alpha-dogs, they no longer have their "alone time" when each has a turn running the bench as the primary scoring and creating option - Thomas now owns those minutes.

You have to respect what Bled has done, but if there was ever going to be a time to trade him, this is it. He appears completely injury free and his value is sky high.

I am with you nevets on two fronts.... deal the 'Bled' and trade for the Turk  Something has to give, and we are within a month of all the trade barriers being gone.

I knew you'd like that proposal Frank haha! Seriously though, all it will take is one more Bledsoe injury (knee or not) and he'll assume the dreaded "injury-prone" label... Which once it sticks is tricky to shake. And smart capologists would not put themselves in a position to have to wear a $14m albatross like that. Cap crippling for the next half decade... With the abundance of quality PGs it's best to let someone else take that risk.

If Goran gets injured this season, who will want him? He already has questionable form... It would likely make him cheaper to re-sign next season. Plus,we have a $7m insurance policy in the short term in Thomas.

Bled, Plumlee, Tolliver and picks for Bosh? Who wants to have a crack at doing a 3 way with CLE where they get Bosh and we feel the Love?
