never said Urias is not a special talent, but right now Heaney is better, and Major League ready, if needed. Heaney has the size to be a durable inning eater, and stuff to go with his pedigree to be a front of the rotation type in time. this guy is a sure thing.

Urias is a phenom, but very small framed 17 year old kid who hasn't pitched beyond the A ball who is a few years away. Urias could be a lefty Pedro Martinez, but also could be the next Darren Driefort. he is a high risk, high reward type.

both are great prospects, but if this deal is about choosing one over the other, vast majority of the GMs around the league would choose Heaney.

I'd love to see the poll.

well then why don't you just go drive down and ask? the winter meeting is in SD and it is hell of a lot closer to you than me. I live 30 miles south of Portland. you are probably in greater LA area?

I saw that you also replied then deleted, somehow i must be the favorite target for profanities which you regret and delete. either that you mod guys must have another forum where it is not visible to humble regular posters like me. either way, you are arguing something that isn't exactly provable either way, as it is personal opinions based on separate arithmetic talent evaluation methods.

no harmful feelings man, not sure if it is mutual, but.

good thing the Dodgers are winning the Winter Meetings. Stuff hurts but we'll be better for it.

well that would be unbelievable.

we are winning the winter meetings because we have guys like Friedman and Zaini evaluating talent rather than a hack like Ned Colletti.
ehhhhh f it.

You're trying to pass off opinion as fact.

And you're extremely paranoid.

Sweet Jesus thank the Lord or the flying spaghetti monster (i don't discriminate) Ned isn't at the helm.

we'd have spent money on Panda, Hanley and possibly russ-mart w/ no OF traded.

then he'd trot in front of a microphone and say some bull about how our OF log jam is a good thing for us.

just one request, i need an explanation from the higher up dudes why i keep getting notifications when I can't seem to find the physical reply. either you fellas are trying to f with me, or deleting what you are writing, or there is a bug in your system.

either way, the paranoia maybe on the observer? if it is the bug i can't be the only one.

cheers.

Yes! Howie Kendrick to the Dodgers for Andrew Heaney.

Hopefully we aren't sending any money over to the Dodgers.

I had not realized how good Kendrick was last year.

Good move for the Angels though.

Yeah, Kendrick had a career year for us. Love his makeup, will miss him, but we weren't going to sign him to an extension after this season and we get a club control lefty SP. Perfect trade..

So Friedman probably is sold on Urias.

he used Dee to help shed $10 million of Haren off our books.
then flipped him for Howie Kendrick.

im not sure if it's genius or my mind just exploded.

You guys covered all of Haren's $10MM and Gordon's 2015 money.

Gonna write Friedman everyday for a year and ask for a job.

He probably read this thread and got the idea of getting Kendrick from me.

Ty….you wouldn't have extended Howie for 3-4 years?

Nope.

We'll have Grant Green cover 2nd base until Alex Yarbrough is ready.

our defense got so much better up the middle in the matter of hours.

i'm impressed.
casual dodger fans are lamenting these moves.
