Nope.

We'll have Grant Green cover 2nd base until Alex Yarbrough is ready.

Those options sound terrible tbh.

Yarbrough is an offensive-minded switch-hitting former SS. I know what his numbers were in the huge pitcher's park last season, but he'll be a good bat for us.

But really, 6 years of Heaney > 1 year of Kendrick, and it's not even close.

Heaney seems like a highly touted prospect.

how in the hell did he go for so little today?

Don't get me wrong Ty, I like the trade for you guys.

I just think a big-market team should dream bigger than Yarbrough for an everyday player. I see a guy without much power or patience who doesn't have a ton of pedigree in terms of prospect rankings.

well, I can't say Im upset about trading Heaney for Howie. Kendrick had a .744 OPS year last season and not too far from his career number of .756.

aside from his excellent defense, his .347 OBP will serve us well.

but i guess trading Heaney so fast debunks my gut feeling of Urias leaving any time soon.

oh well, Urias may have much higher risk but probably slightly higher ceiling too. go for the kill or go for broke.

PS- Heaney will be a top 3 pitcher for the angels rotation in 3 years barring injury. he is that good.

now how do you feel about Heaney, mr Cobb?
ehhhhh f it.

The same as I felt before the trade. Still high on Heaney. Not as high like I am on Urias, after having watched him pitch this past season in person, but still high that he could end up as a #2 to Richards if he performs to his stuff.

and like i said, I expect Heaney to be there in 3 years max.

not that you would care, but baseball being my religion, I watch not only MLB but NPB, KBO, and Aussie league plus whichever the minor games i can get my hands on. I have been a season ticket holder for the Keizer Volcanos for years but hate the fact that they are the Giant affiliate.

Richards and Heaney will serve your franchise for years to come. I have being wanting Kendrick to join the dodgers for sometime now with Dee as our trade bait, which I am ecstatic to see it come to fruition under this regime, but we have definitely undersold Heaney. your angels have won this trade, for a change.
ehhhhh f it.

oh come on man, Billy has won with guys like Tejada and Jermaine dye. he has rolled with Eric Cezar Chavez and Kurt Suzuki in the recent past.

just because the current crop of players he chose just happened to be white does not make Billy a racist.

Good grief, the Dodgers haven't won a pennant in 26 years and Quake wants to throw them a parade.

not too bad in this baseball economy where Erwin Santana is worth 14 million after coming off 92 OPS+ season. for a reference, Brandon posted 134 OPS+ with the Yanks, going 1.151 WHIP in 14 starts.

i say Meh.

As you stated earlier, I'm an idiot. So explain to me what OPS+ has to do with a pitcher.

Here in Dodger Country, we don't wait until our team gets good to fill seats in our ballpark.

only makes sense I'd throw my team a parade whenever I felt like it.

No, it makes complete sense.
