I'm guessing Minny have noticed that they fall off a cliff any time Rubio doesn't play. He's unobtainable IMO.

for free mind you. I want a 100% free trial. sanders costs us 44 million. Stephenson wouldn't cost us a nickel... if anything acquiring him should save us money.

Re: Trade Targets
btw, look at the trade board at the Lance trades. I don't see Vonleh or Zeller or multiple 1sts in any of them.

I would have acquired larry for completely dead money just the same way I am for Stephenson here. the difference is we don't have 44 million dollars of dead money laying around to get a guy like that.
the hypocrisy here is the guys who are perfectly willing to pay a dipsht mindfcked criminal center 44 million dollars over the next 4 years but don't want Stephenson based on his character issues.... or worse yet have him for our junk where we actually save money...smh
so right... im the hypocrite

The only players we have signed for as long as Stephenson's deal are Larry, Giannis, Parker, and this years 2nd rounders.

he steals rebounds and wanted to get paid. don't you read?Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and menacing after being accused of pushing his girlfriend down a flight of concrete stairs.
Stephenson allegedly caused Jasmine Williams, his 21-year-old girlfriend and mother of his child, to fall down 10 steps at about 5 a.m. Sunday, police told the New York Daily News. She was treated for head and neck injuries in the fall Sunday in Brooklyn, a New York Police Department spokesman told the Associated Press. Stephenson, 19, was released on his own recognizance after appearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Stephenson, who played at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and the University of Cincinnati for a year, was recruited by the University of Maryland and Under Armour for its basketball shoe division. The move was a controversial one for Maryland Coach Gary Williams because Stephenson had been suspended for fighting with a teammate in high school and was arrested in October 2008 for allegedly groping a female high school student. He was charged with a Class B misdemeanor and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in the latter incident.
his girlfriend was pregnant at the time too iirc
he was a lottery talent taken in the 2nd round, Indiana had him and let him go, only Charlotte was willing to sign him this offseason and now they're trading him the first chance they get and are being asked to give up a 1st or two for somebody willing to take him. Who is a bigger cancer in this league?
It's a joke dude, you hate on Larry all the time yet you want this sociopath.
id be more convinced by a conviction then the version of what happened by his pregnant future baby mama who was coming home after partying at 5 am in the morning with her 2 ho friends. seriously this is the issue with him?
Im not sure what youre trying to say.
I understand celebs and ballers are the target of women who want to take their money, but what makes you think he didnt do it, besides the fact that you keep calling her a baby mama, and mentioning that she came home at 5 am with her "2 ho friends".
Considering his past record, does it really surprise you? And does it really matter what time she came home? If anything, wouldnt it be worse if Lance did hurt the woman that was carrying his child?
Again I could understand if we traded some combination of Zaza/ Mayo/Ersan for him and then cut him, since we'd be getting some good prospects in return and it would probably put us on track for a semi tank. But there is no way in hell Lance is our 3rd star. He is the new generations JR Smith .

Re: Trade Targets
Larry is still a good fit on this team both on and off the court. As of right now the team has really good chemistry, and looks like a young family. Larry is apart of that so he's obviously doing something right. Bringing in a player with the history of Stephenson's could change all that and I just do not see a bigger enough reason to want to mess with what we're building. There also isn't any proof that Charlotte will just give him away for nothing, so it just isn't worth it.

what im trying to say is off the court hes had one conviction in his life and it was a misdemeanor in hs. the whole fiasco that supposedly happened when he was drafted with the girlfriend got dropped. in other words the slamming the head into the ground and the pushing down the stairs, etc, etc..... once it was investigated the cops said whatever. it wouldn't be the first time an incident with an athlete got embellished because somebody saw dollar signs.
so draw your own conclusion from it and i'll draw mine. He doesn't have a record and hasn't gotten in trouble since then... it would lead me to believe the version in the media wasn't how it went down. maybe nothing went down except a big argument and a shoving match with a drunk pregnant girlfriend and her friends at 5am in the morning. big deal.

2 years then a team option in the 3rd year. he could have 2 busted legs and still have major value in that 3rd year on his non guaranteed rights! his contract is a decent asset all on its own.
so after next year mayo, zaza, and Dudley expire and wed have ersan and lance both on non guaranteed deals. pisstons of flexibility.

Re: Trade Targets
I actually like Lance more than most people on this board but i really don t see the fit for us.I m not taking the ball off Giannis s hands to put it into Lance s when Knight isn t the primary ballhandler.

My bad, I didn't know Stephenson had a team option in that 3rd year.
Doesn't change how I feel about him though. Unless some major young assets were coming our way (extremely doubtful) then I'll pass. If this board hates the hero ball Knight plays, I would hate to see what it would be like with Lance.

I would much, much rather have Smith than Stephenson.

Re: Trade Targets
Trading for a ball-dominating delusional legend in his own mind whose new team is so desperate to undo their mistake after signing him to a team-friendly deal just a few months ago that they might be willing to attach a valuable asset to do so. On a team that has the best chemistry it has had in many years. Yeah, just about the dumbest move we could make*. Poor fit on almost every level.
*: unless of course it was for the asset attached and LS was immediately waived.
edit: I'm talking about Stephenson in this post not Thomas. Going after Thomas would be misguided. Going after Stephenson would be a disastrous mistake.
