Yay, not one but two undersized mindless 2 guards masquerading as PGs. No thanks.

Value my man. Good contract considering most guys who are IT's caliber make 4+mil more than him. Consolidates two okay-ish prospects who may not have a future here into 1 contributor right now who is still fairly young.

yeah... like maggette. that's a good comp. didn't work out but I still don't hate that deal.

Fit wise I think it's very similar

hes a different kind of player so hard to pinpoint fit with his role coming in. but compared to maggette... hes a gaurd who likes to pass and can defend. if the hornets used kemba to spot up like hill hed be doing a lot better. for us he takes the ball out of knights hands in the pnr. obviously not as talented an iso scorer as maggette but theres hella more to like fit wise about lance than maggette on this team longterm.

issue is whether theres enough balls to go around to make everybody happy. an issue every talented team has.... and immediately the starting offense would have the worst outside shooting in the league at least until g/j come of age.

id be curious to see it. if theres a negative comp out there for us maybe its Anthony mason lol

I just don't like it. We already have a guy who should occupy his role (6th man scorer type - Knight). Would rather use our assets to get players that fit better. If we are talking to the Suns, I would value Ennis and Warren higher, for example.

I don't think those 2 guys hold as much value league wide though is my whole point. Think there's a bigger market for IT where he could be flipped to help acquire that real 3rd piece.

There's also the issue that I think Ennis is a nothing as a prospect. His potential is a poor man's Jose Calderon to me.

I mean we just aren't going to be acquiring a guy like IT to flip him. That is not the MO of this front office and until I see it just one time, I'm going to operate under the assumption that we acquire guys with the intentions of keeping them. If we were Philly/Houston I would place more value on the type of thing you're saying.

And I don't like the Calderon comparison at all for Ennis. Sh*t, if Ennis had Calderon's 3 ball, he would be about ideal for this team.

That's not to say that I'm sold on Ennis. But he's a guy I'd definitely be interested in taking a chance on to seeing what he might be. I like his temperament.

When I say poor man's Calderon I'm implying that Ennis can't shoot. He's just a guy who runs the offense, not much of a creator, not a defender, not a plus athlete, not a scorer. I'd rather just play Kendall Marshall who shares some of the same weaknesses but has better strengths to his game.

Yes but all the info that has been leaked so far on Charlotte indicates that the asking price for Lance is either one of the worst contracts in the league or two firsts.I don't think even the biggest delusional Pacers homer would go in the trade forum and post a trade asking back two firsts which we know that Bird actually asked.

Which is a clear indication that what goes on behind the scenes regarding Lance we don't know and is so bad that scaries away all teams. Some fans in Charlotte had reported that they heard him cursing on teamates and coach while sitting on the bench.
The only way I would be open in Bucks getting Lance is with a prospect or two coming back our way.Vonleh Zeller or Biyonbo.Otherwise keep him away from Milwaukee.I have no interest in a "free trial" of a lockeroom cancer.

This this this this. This.

I love Ennis the person and love what he did for us at Syracuse, but this is Ennis' game to a T. I'm more confident that he'll end up playing overseas than ever being an important contributor in the NBA.

Isn't McCollum the same as Knight?

Neither.

I thought Lance was a good catch for the Hornets but now I realize how happy I am he isn't a Buck.

Dion, just no.
