Sadly he's our only "insider", though I feel like calling him an insider is wrong. I'd also like to know who is sources are because I just picture him talking to some statue that he thought was a real person for 20 years.

I think the Rondo trade should be a wake-up call to everyone that overvalues what we can get for some of our assets. Ersan, Mayo, Middleton, or whoever we want to throw out there aren't getting us a 1st round pick in return. The CBA has made 1sts, and draft picks in general, much more valuable than in previous years.

I'm more interested in looking at buy-low prospects that have been in the league a few seasons. Shroeder, McLemore, Stauskas, and Vonleh are incredible long shots that, even if technically available, would require us to massively overpay in terms of value.

We need to be targeting guys like Kyle O'Quinn, Andre Roberson, Glen Rice Jr., and Timofey Mozgov. Those are the kinds of guys that are available for the right price, not fresh Top-10 pick level prospects. Unfortunately for us, it's a buyers' market right now.

Yes and no. Rondo is going to be a FA that listens to all offers in six months. More importantly, he isn't a guy that most contenders want on their team. He's such a ball dominant player that his suitors were always going to be few.

The character and chemistry of your entire team changes with Rondo. Not at all with say an Ersan/Mayo combo.

Haven't had a chance to see the Magic all year so what does O'Quinn bring? Is he a younger Zaza or am I way off? And what would we have to give up?

Tough, smart defender, can shoot and pass.

Cool, what kind of price tag would he have? Vucevic just got his extension this offseason so I'd imagine they'd let him go for the right price? If so what could it be?

No idea but I imagine he'll be playing somewhere other than Orlando assuming they want to keep Tobes, Vuc and Frye.

I'd be okay with Waiters as long as you put a true point guard in the line up with him. Knight and Waiters would be an eye sore.

I haven't watched Waiters much outside of the highlights and the Bucks games against the Cavs, but he looks like a more talented/more explosive Knight if Knight were actually playing the right position (SG). It seems like he likes to take some of the same shots Knight takes as a point guard.

Waiters seems like he has the "it" factor though which I appreciate seeing in a guy. It's hard to explain but he makes it look easy when he's in the zone. Kind of an irrational confidence like Bill Simmons always talks about. I'm sure it would get frustrating at times, but it's easier to believe in a guy when he at least believes in himself.

I don't know much about O'Quinn but I like the idea of acquiring restricted free agents this deadline rather than trying to beat out all the other teams in a signing. How about trading Henson straight up for him? That gives Orlando a guy who is locked up next year at a cheap rate and lets them focus on those other guys in contract talks.

For us, it gives us tons of flexibility with Larry and we can dump Zaza elsewhere immediately. And in FA, if we choose to, we can go after the SG spot exclusively.

Yeah if we are committed to winning that would be a great move.

We need some young C's that can rebound and defend. Bring back Michael Eric
