I'm on board the D'Angelo Russell bandwagon.

Cant argue that. He's the best scoring guard in this draft.

So how many potential great players are we seeing in this draft?

Like last year, everyone said the top 3 were surefire picks, and then there's a drop. Then there was another drop after about 7 or 8....

How are we looking?

Despite all the hype about last year's draft this one looks a lot better to me.

I think part of the hype was inflated by teams trying to drive up the price for trading picks/pumping up their fan base/tanking becoming a legitimized rebuilding strategy.

2014 NBA draft was always 5 or 6 deep to me... Embiid, Parker, Wiggins, Gordon, and Exum.

2015 NBA draft will have Okafor, Towns, Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja, Porzingis, Johnson and my personal favorite Looney (like Gordon was last draft).

This draft will be deeper in my mind as far as above average role players and more.

2014 NBA draft was super hyped because there were 3 legitimate players who could've went #1 overall (Wiggins, Parker, and Embiid).

Can check out D'angelo Russell and Ohio St. against Maryland on ESPN. 12/7/5 at halftime, but the stats don't tell the whole story-kid is a stud. Has that quiet swagger and killer instinct ala Curry/Lillard. Insane court vision and passing ability as well.

Duke had an unreal run at the end of that game at Virginia.
11-0 run on the road.

Looney solid once again. Something to be said about his consistency...

Tonight he finished with 14 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3PT, 4-5 FT), 10 Rebounds (7 D, 3 O), 3 Assists, 3 Steals, 1 Block, and 0 Turnovers.

UCLA has found their go-to defense with Looney at the top of their zone.

Damn. Briante Weber tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Just awful.

I know you've seen more of these guys than me Ty; explain to me how is Winslow rated so much higher than Anderson?

Also have you seen Tennessee's Josh Richardson play? He's not on any mock draft I've seen, but what I've seen of him is a solid. He's a 6'6 (6'10 wingspan) SG/PG/SF who defends like a mad man, shoots threes at a 40% clip, handles the rock, and excellent athleticism.

He's my Jerry West pick of this draft.

Age. He's 3 years younger than Anderson and already as impressive.

I have not seen any TENN games this year so can't comment on him. I'll be on the lookout for him though.

Winslow's ceiling is Justin Anderson--a dynamic, athletic, defensive presence who can shoot the deep ball.

That's the problem with this league though, GMs rate younger guys with less skill higher than the proven commodity.

I'd never take Winslow over Anderson, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't either.

Winslow is horrible value that high in the draft. If I needed a versatile defender who shoots crooked, I'd just take Hollis-Jefferson in the second round.

'That high' ... #11 high? I don't know about that. Like I said, 3 years younger than Anderson and just as impressive. Anderson is a better shooter right now, but Winslow will be the better defender. Winslow thoroughly outplayed Anderson in this past matchup.
