Lowe's got a new trade deadline column. Nothing really relevant to MKE in it. A one sentence blurb that the Bucks may look to move Ersan.

The overall theme seemed to be that anyone shopping a guy who can actually contribute is looking for a massive haul. Denver wanting "multiple 1sts" for Afflalo, for instance.

If the rumors are true that that deal was on the table, and we didn't jump on it, then that's pretty dang disappointing.

Lowe on Lawson.

The more interesting questions surround Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried. Denver isn’t shopping those guys, but Jusuf Nurkic is the only true untouchable on the roster, per several league sources who have dealt with the Nuggets. The sense around the league is that you could land Lawson or Faried with a Godfather offer. They are gettable. Boston and Denver have had exploratory talks about Lawson, per several sources.

Lawson and Faried are also due a lot of future money in a league in which contracts are shorter than ever. Lawson will earn $12.4 million next season and $13.2 million in 2016-17. He’s an outstanding offensive player, and his shooting has rebounded after an icy start to this season. His ankle doesn’t appear to be bothering him much anymore. He’s something like the ninth-, 10th-, or 11th-best point guard in the league — a super-fast dynamo who can get into the lane at will, draw fouls, and dish a ton of dimes.

But he’ll be 28 at the start of next season, the ankle is worrisome, and he’s had some off-the court issues; he was arrested on suspicion of DUI a few weeks ago, and Brian Shaw famously toyed with eliminating daytime shootarounds because his players like the nightlife, baby. Shaw and Lawson have clashed at times this season, though that’s not necessarily a big issue. He’ll be 30 at the start of his next major contract, meaning the end of that deal could be a little ugly.

Dealing Lawson would leave Denver with a gaping hole at point guard, which is why it’s tempting to construct wild three-team trades in which they receive someone like Reggie Jackson or Goran Dragic from a third-party team.

Denver is crazy if they ultimately only accept multiple number ones for their guys. That team needs to tank more than sit with 35 win talent in the West.

Growing feeling that the Bucks would like to move Mayo, Henson and Ersan along with the Larry buy out to complete the makeover. Knight, Middleton, Zaza and Giannis were also here before the new regime, but none of them have any bit of character issues at all.

Mayo and Henson would demand a fair price, I would give up Ersan for anything right now as long as we can get that roster spot opened up.

This is from a 76er blurb, but we should be keeping an eye on these teams, since we have some open cap to absorb;

The 76ers would likely partner with a team that has to pay the luxury tax this season, which means the Nets, Clippers, Cavaliers, Knicks, Raptors, Thunder, Pelicans and Lakers are possibilities.

I'd be very surprised if they moved any of the players you mentioned except for Ersan.

I could see Mayo being a piece because he is a little redundant with Knight and Bayless already on the roster.

This year's version of Mayo is a great piece to add to a contender, but hard to see a deal working out with salaries. 8M dollar second unit guy is a lot to swallow unless they are dumping something back on to us.

Any idea what the character issues are with Henson or I'm reading your post wrong? Legit curious.

Fits for 10 likely trade targets
Landing spots for Dragic, others who could move by Thursday's deadline
Reggie Jackson | PG | Oklahoma City Thunder

Even if Oklahoma City doesn't make a bold move like trading for Lopez, Jackson might be dealt by Thursday. He's struggled since the Thunder acquired Dion Waiters, who's been cutting into Jackson's minutes. That deal also put Oklahoma City over the tax threshold, and the Thunder have never before paid the luxury tax. Dealing Jackson alone wouldn't get Oklahoma City under the tax line, but pairing him with Jeremy Lamb would do the trick. The Milwaukee Bucks have shown interest in young point guards despite Brandon Knight's breakout season and could take both contracts into cap space while replenishing the Thunder's stock of draft picks.

I don't think this is really a surprise, as Henson and Sanders were rolling pretty tightly together...I wouldn't be shocked if Henson has a failed test or two that we don't know about.

No thank you to giving draft picks for Reggie Jackson, assuming that's what the last sentence was suggesting.

No interest in giving up assets for a rental of Reggie Jackson, even if Lamb came with.

Sounds like they would package Lamb and Jackson for picks. I still wouldn't do that. Especially because you're going to have to pay Jackson and he's already redundant to Knight.

I hope something interesting happens in the next day or so, be it with Milwaukee or just around the league. Need some action.
