Just read on hoopsrumors.com that Kyler is saying we are connected to Ty Lawson.

I honestly don't think you put much stock in their listed weights right now. If you look at last summer's photo of Hennson, Larry, and Giannis; Giannis is the one with the better frame for muscling up. Also, Giannis' older brother Thanasis, he's built very solid - not huge, but muscular; so maybe he's the prototype to compare against.

I don't know if that means he's best used as a C, but he should have the size for it.

Giannis will probably end up the biggest of the 3 but I'd hate to see him bulk up to play c. His agility and speed is a big part of what makes him special.

I do see some young KG, or I still like the Larry Nance comparison too. However, several years from now, we will probably look back on these comparisons and laugh a bit; as Giannis is unique and will carve his own niche.

I just don't want to see the bucks decide right now they need to put 60 lbs on him and play him at c in reaction to this larry thing or just because he's 7 ft. Basically I don't want us to do to giannis what we did with Bogut and ignore what he can do out of some short term need.

In practical terms I don't care what position we call him as long as we're developing him to his strengths and using his unique abilities to their fullest

The reason is simple. Milwaukee is all Giannis knows. His family lives here and loves it. He is a 20 year old on his way to being a superstar and there is zero reason to believe he will ever want to leave. Could the same be said for Anthony Davis? We have hit the jackpot with this kid and I'm hanging onto him and riding it out. A truly untouchable player.

That is kind of like saying you'd rather have Wade over LeBron though. If Giannis ever becomes the player that Davis is at age 21 I'd be surprised. Aside from AD though, I don't know who I'd really trade Giannis for.

I don't want to derail the thread but would you rather have a couple of years of AD or an entire career of Giannis? If I could have one player for their career I would take AD, but I would choose a career of Giannis over a few years of AD. I don't think that is crazy.

Okay sure, but there is no actual evidence currently that Giannis would play in Milwaukee his whole career or that AD would bolt, so it isn't a very fair comparison. Not to mention AD's contract would be able to be matched as he is a 2016 RFA.

1. Crazy no matter what the situation
2. Giannis parents have lived here for 12 months. His brother in a sophomore? and will be going to college soon. You really think they are locked in staying in Milwaukee for ever? I could easily see them seeing what America has to offer before settling down. Especially in a big city with a larger Greek population.

Speculate away :D

OK, I will speculate away :D

I can see the Kings being high on Henson. They need either a shot blocker next to Cousins or a distant shooter (an Ersan).

I'd be all over this...

Kings: Stauskas, Thompson, 1st Round Pick
Bucks: Henson, Mayo, 2nd Round Pick

No chance the Kings would include a 1st round pick for that. Also, Karl is a 'win-now' guy so I don't see him being very high on Henson.

Giannis' triple double game made me question this. He might start looking toward the bright lights of NY. He already has the marketability with some of the YouTube videos he is putting up. Put together one more improved season and he will be the darling of the NBA. Already almost is, and you see him appearing on the sidelines of national coverage. Look at the dunk contest highlights, that featured just as much Lavine as it did Giannis' reaction and smile on the sideline.

I don't blame him either if he gets these big ideas. But for right now, we can only be happy and try to put together the contender that will make him stay.

Don't discount the UNC connection that Karl and Henson have.

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 54 hours)

Post#5008 » by Nowak008 » Tue Feb 17, 2015 6:02 pm

3 way deal-

Raptors receive David Lee
Warriors receive Ersan/Chuck Hayes
Bucks receive Landry Fields

Warriors save themselves from the tax next year, we shed Ersans deal, raptors get a veteran win now big for expirings

I won't continue to go on about this topic so I'll leave it at this:

A: Anthony Davis for his whole career.
B: Giannis for his whole career.
C: Anthony Davis for a few years.
D: Giannis for a few years.

Those would be my choices in order. You can call me crazy, but I bet we agree on the choices. I just like the odds of a 2nd contract with Giannis more than with AD. You can disagree and that is fine because it is just speculation.

This is a zero percent chance trade scenario so I'll let the thread get back on topic.

There are only two ways Giannis could ever leave.
1. Take less money
2. Demand a sign and trade.

I like our chances of neither of those happening.

I'm with the OP. I wouldn't trade him for anyone. Giannis, as he is progressing, could be the face of the league in a few short years. He has show that type of personality so far.

That is going to go a long way.

So we wouldn't trade Giannis for Davis, but it doesn't matter because Giannis is leaving for New York anyways since they have more Greek diners. Cheeburga cheeburga.

I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the week long all star break. This place gets weird.

And Greek koalas have a higher chance of getting hangnails than their Aussie counterparts.

There is a lot of good stuff in this forum.

For example, don't have unprotected intercourse with a koala because you'd be at high risk of getting chlamydia. Without this forum, you'd be much more likely to put yourself at risk to stuff like this.

Life saver.

heres my deadline. 2 deals

ersan for thompson/ stauskas

then a 3way

mil out.... parker, mayo, knight, clips 1st
mil in... dragic, taj Gibson

suns out....dragic, plumlee
suns in... parker, knight

bulls out... taj Gibson
bulls in.... plumlee, mayo, clips 1st

maybe we have to give up this years pick too in all of this nd we get some other asset somehow but boy oh boy I like this team assuming dragic gives us affirmation he would stay here for the max

team would like like

dragic, bayless, marshall
middleton, stauskas, Jorge
giannis, Dudley
Gibson, Thompson
Henson, zaza, martin

anybody tempted for the homerun ball? I doubt id pull the trigger on this just because im not sure I could trade parker but still just a brainstorm for the 2 guys being mentioned I would absolutely die for here (dragic and taj)

You'd trade Jabari, Knight, and a 1st for two guys approaching 30 yrs old? That seems crazy IMO.

actually I bet we could still pull it off with phoenix if we did Henson and 2015 1st instead of parker. lets go that way instead

dragic, bayless
middleton, stauskas
giannis, Dudley
Gibson, parker
zaza, Thompson

wed be on an allout hunt for a defensive center in this case
