Henson and a 1st is fine by me, that pick isn't going to be a lottery one anyways and Noel has a much higher ceiling and is already a better player than Henson who has never figured it our defensively.

Henson has been crazy efficient on offense since he's been the starter. I get Noel is a better defender now (though I think we're going mostly on reputation) but I don't think I can justify an extra first (or two).

Serious question. If Noel shaves his head is he even 6'9"?

noel has more offensive upside than henson in the same way larry did. it might come together. it might not.... and in the meantime henson will keep killing guys with his same little move and now 70% ft shooting.

henson = most underrated buck

Why is Henson regressing in rebounds every year

8 rebounds per 36 as starting center, get outta here.

What about on the other end where Henson outside of his shot blocking is a pretty average defender. Noel will be minimum what we wanted from Larry. I don't think it happens either way but I'd be more then fine with Henson/1st.

Henson's "killing" guys in the same sense that Brandan Wright or Jordan Hill "kill" guys.

Henson hates body contact, would struggle to box out knight. I'm not against keeping Henson long term but I don't see him as a starter on a contender.

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 48 hours)

So how do we make the deal ESPN insider says is out there to get Jackson and Lamb from OKC to get them under the Lux Tax? 2016 first for sure but what else?

I had hope for Henson coming into this year but he has proven to be nothing more than a rotational big man that can block shots.

What this team needs is a big, preferably a defensive one; that lives to rebound. Noel at the moment isn't the greatest rebounder (same TRB% as Henson), but he is way younger and already shows signs of being a top defensive big. Would gladly take a chance on a player like that and I rarely, if ever, support trading 1st round picks. Usually it's more important for a rebuilding team to keep those but Noel is a prospect that I doubt we would end up getting in the teens.

Yep. Henson is a good back up center mediocre starter. Noel has a lot more potential. I'd deal Henson + 2015 1st and 2nd round pick + Clippers pick for Noel.

Hensons rebounds have taken a huge hit because of the system and he still outrebounds noel. Henson has been a strong rebounder all his career. theres nothing wrong with it now either.

Love it for us but OKC says no. I don't see them parting with McGary, who I'm a big fan of.

weve won at our best clip when hes been handed the keys as the starter.

weve got the 4th best defense in the league with a def rating of 102.5. Hensons def rating is 99. that's best on the team besides sanders at 98. as good as this defense has been in general.... its at its near best with Henson. and unlike sanders he dosnt harm the offense.

add in his new solid ft shooting. his elite ts%. his elite shotblocking.

sure he gets pushed around a little but so did sanders and so does noel. I don't know exactly what you were "hoping for" this season but what I was hoping for... im getting. a maturing player whose obvious talent is leading to success. success both for the team... and individually with a more defined playing style that's cleaned up some of the forced possessions we used to see from him in the past. his rebounding could use improvement, but unlike noel... we know he can rebound at this level as hes shown before.

What are the advanced stats that say Noel is a beast defensively right now, or is this the eye-test thing? I know he gets me a few blks and stls now and then, but what's the real world numbers that tell me he's incredible on "D"?

The Sixers aren't trading Nerlens Noel.

It would be real interesting if the 76ers hit the #1 pick
