They could keep Kanter and give us some other guy to make salaries match and I'd do that deal.

Novak and/or Booker does the trick.

Here's to hoping that Utah doesn't envision Exum becoming much and Kidd having a thing for him.

I just don't think he's good enough. I don't understand why teams think he's any good to the point of giving up value. Felt the same way about Pekovic years ago when he first came on in Minnesota. Never have understood the hype with banger types who can't defend in space on defense or block shots and are black holes offensively. Theres no point in even playing a big if he doesn't give you a big defensive advantage, I'd rather play another guard and just outscore the opponent easily.

Kanter would be a dumb move. I honestly rather have Henson.

I don't think Kanter is worth the price we would have to pay to get him in a trade, if we really want him then sign him in the offseason as he is done in Utah anyways.

I think the Bucks need to be going after a 1 or 2 vs. a big man.

Once we get Giannis/Jabari together next year, minutes for Kanter would be cut. I have a hard time buying him as our long-term C as we need a defensive stopper there with Jabari as a liability on that end.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I'm conflicted.

I'd rather have Henson, but I'd be somewhat optimistic about Kanter. He's not without skills and he's legitimately athletic for his size. I like that he's got a nice jumper. You would have to hope he makes a leap defensively with Kidd.

It's the price tag, both in assets and the massive deal he's going to get that worries AND the fact that he doesn't pass. An expensive big that doesn't pass or protect the rim is scary as hell. There's a reason Utah is willing to trade him.

And that's before we even discuss the assets needed to get him. Giannis, Middleton and Parker are obviously off the table. If Middleton goes, I'm going to be beyond furious.

Trade Targets (Trade Deadline less than 40 hours)

Absolutely not to Kanter. And I think people are taking things too far with knight. If he continues develop into the role he's been playing for the past few weeks, I think he's very valuable.

I think it's possible for him to play with Middleton/Jabari/Giannis as the "PG" but still not have the offense run through him.

I hope our FO can at least see what a perfect fit O'Quinn would be.

I would trade for Kanter if the price was right. Ersan/first/some seconds for Kanter/Novak

Depends. Just know that Exum isn't what he was pre-draft now that we have actually seen him. He could still be something but his value has taken about as big of a hit from June until now as Stauskas (when you consider exactly how highly he was thought of at June - remember, some wanted him #2 overall. Even the Bucks were considering it at one point).

I'd at least ask Utah and I don't think it's impossible. Highly improbable? Yes, but not impossible.

That's sweet how I had two double posts but my second message somehow ended up both before and after the first post I made.

This may not be true but I feel like if Kidd hasn't heard of a guy or isn't too familiar with a guy, he just won't be a Buck. And unlike some guys, I don't think he's a junkie like some guys who know who everyone is. Doesn't surprise me that Kanter has big games against Kidd teams so now we have interest in Kanter.

So, sorry, no Q'Quinn for us.
