How much cap space would the team have this offseason if they dealt Ersan for an expiring?

Assuming Sanders buyout numbers are legit, $20.7M. That counts cap holds for BK/KM/#18.

weve already bought out sanders. right now so far, shockingly, WE are the leagues big deadline winner. too late to just do nothing :D

id be happy to trade ersan for an expiring even if we attached a small asset to it. then we hunt the waiver wire for another one of kidds buds who gets released after the deadline passes.... to fill the frontcourt spot. either way I want full max 20+ mil available in the offseason as a trade deadline gift to ourselves. the hard part has already been accomplished.

Anyone thinking about trading Middleton should check out some of the new metrics being used in the NBA and consider that he is 6th in the NBA in RPM (real plus minus) - just ahead of Lebron - and 16th in WAR. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM

Still wonder what the going rate is for O'Quinn, Nicholson, and maybe Harkless from Orlando, and/or what it would take to pry McGary away from OKC

I hope Ersan and Mayo are gone. I'll live with just Ersan.

Nobody is thinking about trading him. No chance we'd get what he is worth in return. We discussed him being our 'Jimmy Butler' quite a few pages back. All of his numbers at age 23 are superior to Jimmy's numbers when he was 23.

Mike Scotto (don't know him but Paul Henning retweeted him) saying we don't have any trades in the cards at the moment, but Ersan, OJ, and Henson are on the block.

They can all go. Henson less than the other two.

Really weird that Henson is on the block. Not disagreeable as I'm convinced he's not a starter on a contending team, I just hope he's on the block for the right reasons (e.g. an actual long-term piece or great asset like a decent 1st).

Also makes you wonder wtf our frontcourt would be. Zaza/Ersan/JOB/Kenyon would probably be the worst rotation in the NBA.

There are a lot of posts in this thread suggesting the Bucks trade him, and looking at the trade forum quickly, I saw these 2 viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1373014#start_here

While I obviously would not look to trade Middleton, any Jimmy Butler or Klay Thompson comps are irrelevant. The percentage of players who develop as much as they have is tiny. Middleton is Middleton.

Exactly. These are the guys that should be on the block. If we can't get our price, keep em and do nothing.

 Of course other teams want to trade for him and would create threads and discuss it. Middleton isn't some project. He is a LEGIT NBA starter right now. Statistically he is one of the best wing defenders RIGHT NOW in the league. He is also one of the best shooters and he moves the ball. You are right...Middleton is Middleton. And that is one heck of a player.

Yup. I have no issue with any of them being traded if it's for the right things.
