I'm still clinging to my Ersan prediction. He's the one guy that both A) doesn't provide a clear role on this squad, and B) can be dumped to save cap room the next two years. Only other guy I actively look to move is Mayo, for similar cap saving reasons beyond this year.

Ersan and JOB for Stauskas and Jason Thompson. Get it done.

I wouldn't be happy if we stand pat. We got rid of sanders, now we can try and fill that position with a solid big to rebound and we could def upgrade somewhere in the point position.

We can do that next year. If the solution doesn't present itself this trade deadline, there is no reason to force it. I don't think Kanter is the answer, and Gibson is ok, but I'd rather see a large rebounding center that doesn't demand the ball and can play some defense…someone like Ben Wallace or Denis Rodman (obviously doesn't have to be as good) who isn't a focal point, but can do the dirty work would be what I'd like to see. Sanders wasn't even that guy, when it came down to it in terms of the rebounding.

This is where I'm at this deadline. No reason to force the issue if the right deal isn't there. Part of a real long-term rebuild is having patience. I'm not a fan of the make a deal just to make a deal plan.

Not a real big fan of Kanter. I believe in Kidd & his development staff, but Enes seems like he has too big of a gap to close with all his red-flags & contract circumstances. I'd rather wait until the offseason to address our bigs situation if Enes is the best option now.

Sanders, if bought out at the current presumed number, is setting us up quite nicely for making future moves. We don't have to cash in on that right away.

I am ok with dealing Ersan & Mayo to free up more $$, & also am not married to Henson either. I don't want to give him away, but would move him if we get a grittier replacement.

If I was running ****

Knight to Houston for Beverley, Terence Jones, and a 2nd (or Motiejunas).
Ersan, JOB, 2nd (or Ersan/Clippers 1st) to Sacramento for Stauskas and Thompson

I could go for that.

According to Broussard one team is willing to offer $14 million per for Reggie Jackson in the summer. That means Knight is getting at least that. Yuck.
All posts are my own opinion.

right now, at age 23, on his rookie deal, hes the #1 guy, maaaybe #2... on a team that's probably going to win 50 games for the next 3-4 years as constructed. to declare hes not capable of being a #3 at his peak is doofy. at least wait until the team takes a little dive to not sound so petty.

Knight is a perfect 6th man, change of pace, scoring threat off the bench. Just because he has the most PPGz doesn't mean he's the #1 or #2 guy. Take away Middleton and Giannis and we're dreadful.

Knight was sure a quality #1 guy last season

I can't help but think that if we make a trade, it will be for someone we aren't hearing about yet, with the one exception possibly being Stauskas.

And the only way I could see us moving Middleton is if it were for a big-name guy that addresses a big need for us.

And no, I don't know anything at all; just a gut feeling.

If we don't acquire Kanter but do want to go after a quality big man this off season we may need to drop some more cap space some how.

Even if nothing happens with ersan this year, he is an expiring next year and could net a greater return than the scraps we'd get today.

I'm okay if nothing happens but Larry's release.

16-8 in our last 24 and we are on the cusp of buying out the malcontent…something more clearly needs to happen. Like our fan base growing some patience to wait, now that our franchise is finally on the right track.

Bucks aren't winning 50 and the only reason he's the #1 usage guy is because Giannis is 20 and Parker is 19 and injured. If his usage is higher than either of those two at their peak then I'll be shocked, and it will also mean our team construction is really screwed up as well.

Also, I do need to mention we are 19th in offensive efficiency, despite being top 10 in TS.

I'm just hoping the Bucks wouldn't use acquiring Stauskas as a rationale for trading Middleton for Kanter.

Certainly can see how doling out max money to Knight and then a big contract if not max to Middleton in the same off season for players who are best at the same position would be rich.

But trade Knight in that scenario, not Middleton.

I am okay not making a move. Don't really care for Kanter but I'd take a flyer on him for Ersan/2nd. Utah can take that or leave it, don't care.

I don't really want a flyer on Reggie Jackson because I don't see how he and Knight fit on the same roster.

But I do understand RS' idea behind just acquiring assets and seeing what happens later. I'm fine with that but there isn't much I want to give up to get those assets which probably are not long term.

Even if Knight does become a reliable #3 guy, it's not going to change his mindset that he thinks he's a #1 guy. That's the most frustrating. I can't see him taking a backseat to Parker or Giannis anytime soon, and that scares me.
