OKC's starting lineup today
Westbrook + 2 wings that shoot below 30 percent from three and Kanter/Adams
I have no idea what Brooks is trying to accomplish with this team.

Brad Stevens is so much better than Brooks this is hilarious. We have one of the best defensive backcourts in the league and Brooks is just making it tougher for Russ

Defense
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Re: The Russell Westbrook Thread (2014/15)
The issue is Durant and WB love Brooks so much it's going to be real hard to fire him.
If he doesn't lose his job after this year it's never going to happen.
You can see the contrast with GSW. They cut ties when they saw he wasn't good enough, and look where the team is now.

Where the Thunder have been for the last 4 years? Your example of why they should cut ties is a team doing something they've already done?

Yeah, they're not firing Brooks and finding an upgrade, unless Dallas decides to fire Carlisle. Brooks is fine.

Has noone not an OKC fan seen Roberson? The kid is fantastic defensively, there's zero reason for him not to start given the roster. Waiters is almost there by default, hell Singler was starting at SF for a while, he yanked him.

Re: The Russell Westbrook Thread (2014/15)
It seems to me even some OKC 'fans' haven't seen Roberson. Anyone paying attention should be able to recognize just how good this kid is. If he ever adds that corner three he'll have a very long career starting on great teams.

He is a great defender, could be Thabo 2.0 but on offense he is one of the worst perimeter players out there. Teams ignore him like they did Perk and Thabo (before he developed a consistent 3 and even then he wasnt getting much attention).

Despite the lack of box score statistics both RAPM and on/off show him as a slight positive offensively. He cuts , finishes and passes well. Offensively he is nothing like Thabo who couldn't handle the ball or even pass on fast-breaks. Teams that completely ignore him often find they've allowed an easy layup.

He's better than last year's Thabo for sure. He's much more active, his shot has been better since January, and he's great at cutting/slashing.

U guys are right about the cutting i have noticed that and remember him making alot of the finishes too. Not sure i can say i remember anything noteworthy about his passing.

Roberson isn't anything noteworthy as a creator but Thabo was a really bad passer in general, him leading the break was almost an assured turnover. Robes makes smart decisions and keeps the ball moving, plus he can initiate a set without the defense just jumping all over his handle. He is a good passer in the framework of being a guy who doesn't stop the ball basically ever and doesn't make silly mistakes, but definitely not good in the sense we usually think of.

Well, Kanter got hurt, but KD may return.

Re: The Russell Westbrook Thread (2014/15)
So if kanter and Ibaka are out for next game than who's power forward?
Collison or do they try Durant at the 4? his injury might complicate it but ive always thought durant could be killer on offense as a 4

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.
Butler removing rearview mirror in his car as a symbol to never look back
