I think we'll see much more normal shot selection and decision making from him come the weekend.

I think the loss vs Boston made people forget how he was driving aggressively down the stretch, when he drove past Smart, I knew he found his rhythm back. He just needs to be more consistent now, I hope the Raps rest DD again so he can get a nice offensive game going.

Can he cancel out Wall's production with his own play?

Lets see if he can control the tempo of the series in our favor.

The question isn't can Lowry slow Wall down, it's more like will JV be able to react quickly to stop the pick and roll, JV is a good rim protector but he will need to be quicker on his feet.

IF Washington spams the pick and roll , then its close.

If not, then we win easy

I agree with that too and it's unfortunate we dont have Whiteside to protect the basket for us.
On Gerald Henderson vs Derozan:
"Yes. Hendo is quite a bit better than DeMar.
So yes, I do believe he's currently the better player and do project that will continue to be in the future. I would also take Turner over DD."

That what I think Casey want him to do too. He is not selfish player and we need him have those shot falling and get his rhythm before playoff . I can see he will keep shooting tonight too

Kyle's stats from Jan (basically the time after this hot start) to his injury were pretty ugly (34 game sample).

FG/A/%: 5.3/14.0/37.9%
3P/A/%: 2.0/6.0/32.8%
FT/A/%: 2.6/3.3/79.6%
PTS REB AST STL
15.3 4.4 6.1 1.6
TS% eFG% USG% ORtg DRtg +/-
.493 .450 23.7 101 108 -.02

Unlike Demar, who started the season off horribly and has started to play much better, Lowry started really hot and has played pretty bad ever since. This has nothing to do with his injury. The injury doesn't help, but it just makes his bad play seem even worse.

It's not even the stats, it's the eye test. He's playing lazy and uninspiring basketball. For a player that is known for being a 'pitbull' and being all heart and hustle. He's definitely not played with that mentality for a majority of the season.

i thought lowrys bad play will get better but hes been at 15 PER player for half the season now, while starting around 23 PER

hope he turns it around in the playoffs, he might struggle at times but should still show a lot of heart and hustle...just needs to stop settling and dribbling so much, attack or pass and keep it simple

The unfortunate thing is that Lowry was just started to get out of his funk in the few games right before his injury. Now he has to start all over again with the playoffs knocking on the door.

And I agree that Lowry has been average to bad for the better part of the season. DD has taken heat for his poor early play and rightly so, but Lowry definitely needs to take some blame for our tailspin since December, and unlike DD there are no signs that he's going to get back to "good" Lowry soon enough.

You don't think he will do the same in playoff games?

Right, you don't have a clue

You don't have a clue either, you can't just say he'll magically hit all his shots just cause it's the playoffs, it takes time and he needs to get into a rhythm but historically speaking especially this season he hasn't been shooting that well and you also factor in the fact his defence has regressed this year as well. I've rarely see him take charges as much compared to seasons past.
Maybe the fact he is banged up has something to do with it.. Do you really want Kyle to take a charge in a meaningless January game? Especially when he was obviously already banged up? Guarantee this playoffs we see early season Lowry again when the games mean something again

Well I guess we'll just have to see how his defence is come playoffs, I just want him to stop taking gambles too much and take more charges on the defensive end. I am glad to see his shots falling though which is great timing heading into the playoffs.

I'v been telling you guys, Lowry hasn't been like Lowry since the pre-all-star game you also factor in the fact we're going against Beal and Wall who everybody seems to underestimate..just saying you guys cant just look them over.
