He is taking visits soon.

Also, Federico Mussini, Diallo and Yankuba Sima and Mustapha Heron (2016) seem to be headed to St Johns. Good start for Mullins if all those pieces come to fruition ESPECIALLY if he can Obekpa back w/ Rysheed Jordan.

Regarding Murray, I still think he stays close to the border or stays put in 2016 and tries to jump directly to the pros from Canada.

Will be interesting to see if it's too late for Mullin to persuade Alkins to go to St Johns and away from the elite schools

Also hear that Diallo is going to St. Johns.

Yeah I think he was a Duke fan growing up and wants to go there but where he's from is unc country and the public school coaches there basically look at k and duke as carpetbaggers..Duke never gets those public school kids.

I have some deep connections in Kinston, close to BI. I will relay what I have been told/observed:

You are correct in the fact he grew up a Duke fan.

His dad Donald is a big UNC guy and has wanted BI to commit there since the start of his recruitment. Roy Williams went all in on him two years ago when he was a top 70 kid and not the soon to be top 10 prospect he is now. His offer list included low end ACC schools and UNC.

UNC being the first blue blood on him made an impression. Brandon has visited UNC far more than any other school on his list. He has been on campus 20+ times. Duke (8 miles away mind you) only 7 if I am not mistaken.

His hangup on UNC was PT and the fact he wanted to confirm that it was the best place for him. When Duke offered, it was a match made in heaven in his mind, they could offer him some PT especially if Winslow went pro, etc. He then had a visit there that went abysmally. Since then Duke has made up a lot of ground though.

If it is my opinion, I think UNC edges Duke out with Tokoto going pro he can get 25 mpg on a preseason top 5 team, and play with an All-American PG (When fully healthy). Unless Coach K were to somehow pull a bunny out of his hat and get Thornton to Duke early, I think UNC edges them out.

Take what I am saying with a grain of salt. Just relaying what I have heard and we all know how volatile 17 year old kids are.

Seems like UK has regained ground for Diallo. Looks like KU has fallen out of favor. 2 team race for him, St. John's and UK.

A lot of conflicting reports out there for Diallo. Some say KU-UK lead. Some say St. John's-UK lead. Some say KU-St. John's still ahead of UK. Diallo has been so tight lipped not sure anyone really has any clue who leads and who doesn't lead.

It seems that one between Maker and Diallo will go to UK and the other to KU basically, with either KU or St.John's getting none.
In the end Cal is going to get Briscoe, Newman, Matthews, Labissiere and Diallo or Maker, not bad, but not enough.
Jaylen Brown is UCLA bound and Ingram, like someone said is between UNC and Duke.

Sampson committed to LSU, another guard, that team is stacked outside but they are going to play Simmons at C a ton,

Gray-Patterson
Hornsby-Blakeney
Quarterman-Sampson
Simmons-Bridgewater-Epps
Robinson-Malone-Odo

Unless they have someone else coming in that I am missing, transfer/JuCo.

ESPN, 247, Scout all in the dark on Jaylen Brown. Anyone claiming to know where is going is lying. Overseas starting to come up as an option.

Jaylen has his list down to Michigan, Cal and UCLA
It will be sweet to see him going to UM or Cal, but I think he is UCLA-bound.

1. I'd like to know that as well. I do know supposedly a few of the remaining kids that haven't made a choice are going to make one today.

2. He has reclassified and is playing in Canada at the moment and he's supposed to be one of the remaining kids to make some sort of decision today. Both he, Malik Newman, and Jaylen Brown are rumored to be considering playing overseas as an option as well.

Most likely but the idea of him jumping to the pros straight from Canada is floating around.
